Ang-(1-7) was not protective in MasR-/- mice. Interestingly, Ang-(1-7) given during a sublethal dose of IAV infection greatly reduced morbidity associated with a subsequent S. pneumoniae infection, as seen by decrease in the magnitude of neutrophil influx, number of bacteria in the blood leading to a lower lethality. Altogether, these results show that Ang-(1-7) is highly protective against severe primary IAV infection and protects against secondary bacterial infection of the lung. These effects are MasR-dependent. Mediators of resolution of inflammation, such as Ang-(1-7), should be considered for the treatment of pulmonary viral infections.Polygalacturonase (PG) is a hydrolase that participates in pectin degradation, pod shattering and fruit softening. Here, we identified 2786 PG genes across 54 plants, which could be divided into three groups. Evolutionary analysis suggested that PG family originated from the charophyte green algae, and Subgroups A2-A4 evolved from the Subgroup A1 after the tracheophyte-angiosperm split. Whole-genome duplication was the major force leading to PG gene expansion. Interestingly, the PG genes continuously expanded in eudicots, whereas it contracted in monocots after the eudicot-monocot split. PG genes in Group A are expressed at high levels in floral organs, whereas genes in Groups B and C are expressed at high levels in various tissues. Moreover, three BnaPG15 members were found for their potential possibility in pod shattering in Brassica napus. Data are limited on the use of letermovir for the treatment of CMV infection. We performed a single-center retrospective review of allo-HSCT recipients who received letermovir off-label for treatment of CMV infection (CMV DNAemia and CMV disease) from November 2017 until November 2019. Fifteen patients were included, 14 of which received letermovir for treatment of CMV DNAemia. The median duration from transplant to CMV DNAemia was 41 days and median duration of letermovir therapy was 53 days (IQR, 43-59). Median time to first undetectable CMV viral load from the start of letermovir was 16 days (IQR, 13-21). No significant correlation was noted between the time to CMV DNA clearance and either CMV DNA at the time of starting letermovir (r = -.12, 95% CI -0.63-0.46; P = .69) or CMV DNA peak (r = .04, 95% CI -0.51-0.58, P = .87). Three patients had late reactivation of CMV after completion of letermovir (20%) after 87 days (IQR, 68-103) of therapy cessation. Clinical failure or treatment intolerance occurred in two patients (14%). One patient failed to achieve an undetectable viral load. In another patient, letermovir was discontinued due to documented therapy-related thrombocytopenia. Our analysis suggests that letermovir might have a potential role for the treatment of CMV infection in select patients with contraindication or intolerance to more validated therapies.
Rapunzel's syndrome is the state of the gastric trichobezoar (hair ball) extending to the small intestine. Although it is seen very rarely, it is a psychiatric and mental illness especially in young women. We present here, a young female with recurrent trichotillomania.

In a 24-year-old patient who underwent laparotomy due to recurrent trichobezoar, which completely filled the stomach and extended to the small intestine, caused perforation in two places in the small intestine, was removed by gastrotomy and enterotomy. One of the perforated areas was very close to ligament of Treitz, and perforation occurred due to the ulcer caused by trichobezoar. Post-operative central total parenteral nutrition was given and oral intake was started at the end of the first week. The patient was referred to psychiatry and antipsychotic medication was started. She was discharged on the 9th postoperative day without any problem.

Although there are no signs of peritonitis in such Rapunzel syndrome cases, a detailed exploration should be made by keeping in mind that trichobezoar will cause ulceration and perforation. In addition, as the primary cause is the underlying psychiatric disorder, patients should be referred to the psychiatry clinic to prevent recurrence.

Nutrition and menu labelling have been increasingly implemented worldwide. This research examines the effect of nutrition information provision on the immediate and subsequent consumption decisions of restrained and unrestrained eaters.

We conducted three scenario-based experiments. In Study 1 (
 = 478) and Study 2 (
 = 199), we manipulated the availability of nutrition information and measured dietary restraint. Study 3 (
 = 275) extended Study 2 by adding a condition where we provided reference information about recommended daily calories.

We measured choices between relatively low-calorie and high-calorie alternatives (Studies 1-3) and measured a subsequent decision to consume indulgent food (Studies 2 and 3).

Nutrition information did not generally affect choices between low-calorie and high-calorie options, irrespective of dietary restraint. However, restrained eaters who chose a high-calorie option in the presence of nutrition information indicated they would reduce subsequent intake.

Nutrition information does not necessarily reduce the choice of relatively high-calorie food, but it can help restrained eaters reduce subsequent intake after a high-calorie choice.
