Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs
All-terrain stroller is light, durable and offers great maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold means it's easy to transport and is freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines into an almost flat position and there is a large storage bin and canopy. Baby-friendly? Yes and with a carrycot.
Air-filled tyres and a good suspension will handle rough terrain well. You can also use it for jogging. But, three wheel pushchair should wait until your baby is at least 6 or 9 months old.
Ickle Bubba XL Air
This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a great option for parents looking for an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. The travel system includes a carrycot that is flat for infants as well as a multi-position forward and rear facing seat for a pushchair.
The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to see why it's earned praise from customers. It is incredibly lightweight The chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg. It is also very simple to put together. In fact I was able put it up and running in just five minutes, which is amazing given that it included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!
The seat is spacious and comfortable for Annie, who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to use. The basket is spacious with plenty of space and I like that the handle bar features pockets to keep your keys and phone secure.
The only slight downside is the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. But, it's covered in a gorgeous leather-like material that is soft and comfy and wipes down easily, meaning it's still easy to push even with bags and children in your hands!
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is for parents who enjoy exploring and are always on the move. Its large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on field and forest trails and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked for additional versatility. The stroller also comes with 5-point safety harness with a front bar to keep your child safe during all journeys. The parking brake will keep the stroller in place while you take a rest. The seat can be repositioned to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to fit the needs of dad or mum.
The Runner will accompany you on your next adventure whether it's a leisurely run, a more strenuous hike or a long distance trek. It comes with a lay-flat seat and suspension air wheels to ensure a smooth ride. The front wheel is lockable for greater stability on narrow streets and congested sidewalks and the stroller folds up easily to fit into car boot spaces and storage areas.
The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally, the locking system (requiring two buttons either on either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebar is a little higher than some competitors and therefore it may not be suitable for parents with shorter arms however, overall it's a sturdy and versatile stroller that is worth considering for active families.
Red Kite Push Me Pace
Red Kite's Pace is a fantastic product from the affordable British brand. They are known for their simple, well-designed products that are essentials for parents. It's the newest - and priciest - addition to their bargain lightweight stroller collection. It's also, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable so you can use it from birth (the carrycot folds away).
The new Pace comes with some amazing design features such as rose-gold hues on the chassis, hood, and stroller trims, which really set it apart. 3 wheeled pushchair , grey, and tan fabrics on the stroller and the car seat are super stylish and there is an option to add an coordinating leather handle for the cover and bumper bar too.
The stroller seat is used from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg. It can easily be converted into a reversible 2-in-1 position, which is either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat has multi lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and an extendable sun canopy with concealed zip sections, viewing see through flap and an retractable sun visor.
What's more, when it's folded, the Pace measures 56 32 x 43 cm which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other airlines. Two buttons on either side are easy use and can be clicked into place.
Bugaboo Fox 5
Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features a shorter wheel distance which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two children eight weeks old and a toddler - on rough pavements, grassy wooded walks and even cobblestones.
The large puncture-proof wheels, which measure either 22cm or a bit larger they can be used on different terrains. The wheels have a flap that can be opened or closed to let more air in when needed. It's a little larger than most pushchairs, yet doesn't feel heavy or bulky when you push it across bumpy surfaces.
The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to clean. It's also much quieter than some pushchairs, and I felt safe using it in busy city streets. Another benefit is that it has integrated accessory points. This means you can add footmuffs parasols, changing bags, and even a snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, though it's not waterproof. The single pram can be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled board (not included) that gives your child more legroom. It took about 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to convert it into the seat.
UPPAbaby Ridge
If you're looking forward to running in the morning cool air or a nighttime stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a shared adventure. This stroller that is all-terrain designed to keep you and the child engaged.
The large 12" and 16" foam-filled tires offer a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension technology is patent-pending, allowing you to glide along paths in the woods with less impact on your child's legs as well as rear. The durable performance disc hand brake allows you to stop quickly, even while running downhill.
From bustling farmers markets to street musicians playing a tune The Ridge navigates all your most loved city scenes effortlessly. Its spacious basket accommodates your market finds and all of your baby's essentials and the spacious canopy provides sun and wind protection. The large front canopy unzips to reveal two mesh peekaboo windows that make it simple to observe your baby's surroundings.
The Ridge's reversible seat lets you to decide if your child is facing the world in front of them or you and its simple foot brake system is intuitive for parents who are new. One of the best features is the reversible handlebar, that allows you to adjust it to your height and preferences. The Ridge's fold, unlike other strollers, is stable and self-standing when folded.
iCandy Core
The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will really impress parents. It has a Multi-Mode wheelbase and LED Visibility Hub light that's a first in the industry. It also features an integrated Ride-on Board, which will save you money in the future and makes it easier for a tired toddler to join your family on outings.
The Core is available as an entire travel system or as a single seat. It is compatible with the most popular car seats, such as the ones from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It has the biggest seat unit of the iCandy line, meaning you can use it for your baby's first year and beyond. As with all iCandy pushchairs, it's luxuriously constructed and comes with high-end knitted jersey fabrics. The child's bumper bar and the handlebar that parents can adjust are made of soft leatherette. The calf support that folds away are also extremely comfortable for children.
I was awed by how easy it was to fold and collapse. It only takes one hand with the seat unit on. It fits easily in your car or hallway which makes it perfect to travel with. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, like an iCandy Core-branded changing rucksack and liner/footmuff.
