Surface Plasmon Resonance imaging (SPRi) was used to determine the presence and strength of binding of IgG, IgM and IgA against the Receptor Binding Domain (RBD) of SARS-CoV-2 in sera of 102 CoViD-19 and non-CoViD-19 patients. The SPRi assay simultaneously measures the antibody isotype levels and the strength of binding to the RBD of ultimate 384 patient samples in one run. NVP-AUY922 mouse It turns out that during the course of the disease, the IgG levels and strength of binding increased while generally the IgM and IgA levels go down. Recovered patients all show high strength of binding of the IgG type to the RBD protein. The anti-RBD immunoglobulins SPRi assay provides additional insights in the immune status of patients recovering from CoViD-19. The adherence of medical laboratory technicians (MLT) to infection control guidelines is essential for reducing the risk of exposure to infectious agents. This study explored the adherence of MLT towards infection control practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The study population consisted of MLT (n = 444) who worked in private and government health sectors in Jordan. A self-reported survey was used to collect data from participants.

More than 87% of the participants reported adherence to hand-washing guidelines and using personal protective equipment (PPE) when interacting with patients (74.5%), and handling clinical samples (70.0%). Besides, 88.1%, 48.2%, and 7.7% reported wearing of lab coats, face masks, and goggles, at all times, respectively. The majority reported increased adherence to infection control practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes increased PPE use at the workplace (94.2%), increased frequency of disinfection of laboratory surfaces (92.4%) and laboratory equipment (86.7%), and increased frequency of handwashing/use of antiseptics (94.6%). Having a graduate degree was significantly associated with increased adherence of participants to the daily use of goggles/eye protection (p = 0.002), and the use of PPE while handling clinical samples (p = 0.011). Having work experience of >10 years was associated with increased adherence to the use of PPE while handling clinical samples (p = 0.001).

Manual assembly workers are exposed to risk factors of musculoskeletal disorders. The most important risk factor among the workers is static and awkward posture. This study aimed to the ergonomic design of manual assembly workstation using Digital Human Modeling (DHM).

This cross-sectional study was conducted among manual assembly workers. Data was gathered
1) demographic/occupational questionnaire, 2) The Persian version of the Nordic General Questionnaire (P-NMQ), 3) Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) using Kinect sensor, 4) Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA), 5) Idea Rating Sheet (IRS), 6) Anthropometric data of the participants, 7) CATIA software and RULA technique.

The results of the evaluations showed that in the design of most workstations of assemblers in Shiraz electronics industries, complete ergonomic principles were not observed, and the implementation of targeted ergonomic interventions in them is necessary.

Maternity waiting homes, also known as mother's shelters, are structures built near healthcare facilities to minimize the critical barrier of distance to accessing maternal health services. Agness' story highlights the central role caretakers play in contributing to the successful implementation and sustainability of MWH interventions. Agness is well positioned to be an agent of positive change by bringing health education to pregnant women. An important lesson learned from Agness' story is the need for future research to explore the sustainability of MWHs and long-term effectiveness of income generating activities by the community after the completion of externally funded implementing programs.
Against a background of security challenges, Nigeria conducted recently the largest population-based HIV survey in the world to ascertain the burden of the HIV disease in the country.

We evaluated the main outcomes of the survey and the level of success using participation/response indicators.

The survey was conducted from July-December 2018 by over 6,000 field staff across Nigeria in six consecutive webs, using two-stage cluster sampling. We estimated the prevalence of HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C in the entire country and by conflict zone status. Adjusted odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) from survey logistic regression models were used to compare the likelihood of test positivity for the three infections between zones.

A total of 186,405 adults were interviewed from 97,250 households in 3,848 census enumeration areas.
