Mixed alkaloid supplementation facilitates the activity of rumen microbial community under acidotic stress.The Neotropical fish family Serrasalmidae comprises 16 extant genera and 101 species widespread through major Neotropical rivers with relevant importance for regional fisheries and aquaculture. The monophyly of Serrasalmidae and the recognition of three main clades are recurrent between morphological and molecular phylogenies. However, both intergeneric and interspecific relationships within each of those clades remain uncertain. Here, we used 81 terminals of 69 species (68%) and all 16 genera of Serrasalmidae to sequence 1553 loci of ultraconserved elements (UCEs), multiple nuclear loci widely applied in phylogenetic studies, and performed maximum likelihood, Bayesian, and species tree analyses. We obtained highly supported phylogenies in all applied methods corroborating the monophyly of Serrasalmidae and the three-clade hypotheses herein proposed as two subfamilies and two tribes (Colossomatinae (Serrasalminae (Myleini + Serrasalmini))). Morphological features for each subfamily involve the absence (Colossomatinae) or presence (Serrasalminae) of a pre-dorsal spine. Morphological diagnoses among tribes include the pre-dorsal spine being continuous (Myleini) or discontinuous (Serrasalmini) relative to the first unbranched dorsal-fin ray. A database search indicated that this gene is the human cytosolic 5'-nucleotidase II gene (cN-II) homolog in Bombyx, which mediates the conversion of inosine monophosphate (IMP) to inosine, a precursor of uric acid. CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knockout mutants of the Bm-cN-II gene showed translucent integuments, and there appeared translucent larvae in the crosses between knockout moths and +/op moths. Moreover, the translucent phenotype of, and decreased uric acid content in the larval integument caused by the mutations in the Bm-cN-II gene were rescued by oral administration of inosine. These results indicated that the Bm-cN-II gene is responsible for the op phenotype and that the molecular function of the Bm-cN-II gene is the conversion of IMP to inosine. We also discuss the genetic relationship between the Bm-cN-II gene and male fertility.
Recent advancements in high-resolution imaging have improved the diagnostic assessment of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for intralabyrinthine schwannoma (ILS). This systematic review aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of MRI for patients with ILS.

Ovid-MEDLINE and EMBASE databases were searched for related studies on the diagnostic performance of MRI for patients with ILS published up to February 10, 2020. The primary endpoint was the diagnostic performance of MRI for ILS. The quality of the enrolled studies was assessed using tailored questionnaires and the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies-2 criteria.

Overall, 6 retrospective studies that included 122 patients with ILS from a parent population of 364 were included. The sample size, parent population and its composition, reference standard, detailed parameters of MRI, and even the diagnostic methods varied between the studies. The studies had moderate quality. The sensitivity of combination of T2WI and CE-T1WI was over 90%.
