Based on my Investigation, the reason why your bill went up is because of the rate plan increased happened last 08/01 wherein it increased ($$) for it's base rate since you have our Grandfathered plan that's no longer offered.
"Why I was not informed about this"
I understand that you were not properly informed about this but upon reviewing here that you received an email last 06/25 which indicate the reason why it increased and what are the options you can pick to get your service maximized. Plus there was an actual notice on the bottom part of your bill that you can see and generated last 06/25 for the increase that will happen.
"What's the reasons why it increased?"
The main reason why it increased is because of the up coming updates with the 6G access since AT&T is expanding it service But, you'll also get benefits from these changes and that is getting a (75GB or 100GB) High speed data that will not slow data speed based on how much you use it plus (15GB or 30GB) of hotspot data allotment on your plan.
"What are my options?"
As your expert, I want you to maximize all the benefits you can get. It's actually your decision if you want to change your plan or not but to further maximize your benefits, I highly recommend to change it to our latest Unlimited plans. (Provide Your Way Plan)
REBUTTAL:
- I understand that you may lose the Max access plan but changing your plan to our latest Unlimited plan helps us to lower down your monthly bill and by that, you can just avail the Max Subscription for only $9.99/mo.
- I know that this something that was not discuss beforehand but this would be the option I can offer since it not only lower your monthly bill, we can also avoid getting sudden increase since this plan is the most updated plan AT&T offered.
