The Reasons Best 3 Wheel Pushchair Is Everywhere This Year
Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair that offers lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's easy to move and is freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines to a nearly flat position, and there's an enormous storage bin and canopy. Baby-friendly? Yes and with a carrycot.

Good suspension and air-filled tyres will handle rough terrain well. It's also suitable for jogging, but you should wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old to do this.

Ickle Bubba Air

This lightweight pushchair by Ickle Bubba is packed with lots of features that parents will love. The travel system includes a carrycot that is flat for babies and a dual-position rear and forward facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a really impressive vehicle and it's easy to understand why it has been awarded so many praises from customers. It's incredibly light - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg and it's extremely simple to build. I was able to get it up and running in under five minutes - which is amazing considering that it included the ability to attach fabric to the carrycot.

The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie, who is 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to operate. There's plenty of room inside the basket and I am awestruck by the fact that it comes with a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so you can keep your phone and keys secure!

The handlebar is a bit low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in a soft, comfy leather-like material, and is easy to clean.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is a great choice for parents who like to explore and are always on the go. Its large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on field and forest trails, and the front wheel can be rotated and locked for extra versatility. It also comes with a padded 5-point safety harness and a front bar to ensure your child is secure on all journeys, while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving when you are taking a break. The comfy seat is easy to lower to a lying position, and the canopy opens up netting for optimum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to fit mom or dad.

The Runner will accompany you on your next adventure whether it's a leisurely walk, a longer hike or a long distance trek. It comes with a lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels that provide a smooth ride. The front wheel can be locked for more stability on narrow streets or overcrowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit into car boot spaces and storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Also, the locking system (requiring two buttons either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebars are higher than the ones of other competitors, so they might not be suitable for shorter parents. However the stroller is durable and a lot of fun, and is worth considering for families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me walking

Red Kite's Pace is a fantastic product from the budget-friendly British brand. They are known for their simple, well-designed products that are essentials for parents. It's their latest and most expensive addition to the stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat compatible, meaning you can use it from the time of birth.

The new Pace boasts some fantastic design features, including the rose gold tint of the chassis, hood and stroller trims, which really set it apart from its competitors. The stroller and car seat fabrics are fashionable in tan, grey and cream. You can also add handles made of leather and a bumper bar to match.

The stroller seat is used from birth until 22kg. It can easily be converted into a reversible 2-in-1 position, which is either parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with various lie-back positions, soft padded legs rests, and an extended sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed and a transparent flap, and retractable visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which means it can be used as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among other carriers. Two buttons on either side are easy use and click to lock it in the right position.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it more mobile than its predecessor. I tested it with my two kids - an infant and an eight week old - over rough terrain, grassy woodland walks and even cobblestones.

The large, puncture-proof wheels - either 22cm or a bit larger are able to handle a variety of terrains. They also come with an easy flap that opens or closes to let more air to circulate when you require it this is a nice addition. It's slightly larger than other pushchairs, but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when you are pushing it over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to clean. It is also quieter than other pushchairs and I felt at ease using it in busy urban streets. A bonus feature is that it incorporates accessory points, which means you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a snack tray. You can also use the hood to block wind and rain, although it isn't particularly waterproof. The single pram can be outfitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) that gives your child more legroom. It took around 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to convert it into the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

If you're looking forward to running in the morning cool air or a moonlit stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a memorable one. This stroller that is all-terrain designed to keep you and the child engaged.

The massive foam-filled 12" and 16 "tires give you smooth rides regardless of the terrain. The suspension technology is patent-pending, allowing you to glide along paths in the woods with less impact on your child's legs as well as rear. And the durable hand brake that is a performance disc lets you to stop quickly, even when jogging downhill.

From bustling farmers markets to street musicians performing a tune The Ridge is able to navigate your favorite city scenes with ease. Its large basket is big enough to hold your finds from the market and all of your baby's essentials and the spacious canopy provides sun and wind protection. The front canopy can be removed to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to monitor your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seating lets you choose whether your child is facing you or the world ahead. The simple foot brake system makes it easy for new parents. 3 wheeler pushchair is the reversible handlebar, which lets you adjust it to your height and preferences. And unlike other strollers that jog The Ridge's fold is reliable and stays self-standing while folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will impress parents. It features a Multi-Mode wheelbase and LED Visibility Hub light that is the first of its kind in the market. It features a built-in Ride-on board which helps save on future costs and allows tired toddlers to accompany the family during outings.

The Core can be purchased in a single unit or as a complete travel system and it works with most popular car seats made by brands such as Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. It has the biggest seat unit in the iCandy line, so you can use it for your baby's first years and beyond. It's a gorgeously constructed pushchair, and it features premium knitted fabrics. The parent's adjustable handlebar and child's removable bumper bar are made from soft leatherette, and the folding calf support folds away and is very comfortable for children.

I was impressed with how easy it is to fold and collapse - it only requires one hand, even with the seat unit on. It is also easy to fit into your boot and hallway, making it perfect for travel. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, including an iCandy Core-branded changing rucksack and liner or footmuff.
