The drawers are simple to shut and open, but I found the plastic's textured coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the complete set of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price that includes Wi-Fi as well as app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and has a ton of customization options. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.


It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill it's an option in a handful of other GE refrigerators that allows you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to pour out at a time. The fridge displays a countdown to reveal how much water remains, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Created to appear as a seamless element of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is a standout. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and dual compressors for maximum preservation of food. The Ice maker is among the best we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice that is low in water usage. This refrigerator is the ideal choice for single household or kitchenettes that want a sleek design and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated by more than a fraction, this is essential to avoid freezer burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, reaching the desired temperature for initial set within an hour and maintaining that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances and appliances, so it's not a surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is a bit expensive, however it has great features and capabilities for the cost.

It is important to know the limitations of your fridge. It is possible to be creative with tall objects because the fridge has a limited shelf space. Also, the shelves are not sprillproof and can be easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who need lots of space within an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized door bins on each door, two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set of more spacious drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give tall items more room. There's also a full-width storage drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker making it simple to transfer ice when needed. The freezer also features clever design features, such as sliding drawers that help you organize your items. It also has a large bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food and an storage bin for ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you control the fridge's temperature, lighting, and more via your smartphone. It's a great way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. This fridge took longer to chill food and defrost it than other models we tested. This could be due to the larger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this fridge. The sunken handles allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However, taller people still struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been much better if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those looking to blend the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which can make it a popular choice.

If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost you a fortune this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a basic fridge that might not be as appealing like some of its competitors however it has enough features to make a an excellent choice. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

Another great feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer allows you to direct some of the refrigerator's cooling power into the area so that you can store foods that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling level for the whole fridge, however, I've found that changing the generic settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

In my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent in various parts of the fridge. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't vary much from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a great performance, but does not quite make it to the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer to get more precise measurements of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of gray-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
