Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a French-door fridge at this price. It comes with a decent size refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. But it's not the most spacious one I've seen.


You can adjust the shelves in both compartments for a custom storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS also looks attractive. Its LED lighting is a nice touch, and the in-door storage bins have an additional shelf that folds down to make it possible to store tall items. The drawers have temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings to be a little rough on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and it has many options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when the door is unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer requires defrosting, and when the filter has to be changed.

It would be great if GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill the option that is that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to set how many cups they want to pour out. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water is left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill.

The refrigerator is pricey however, it offers excellent features and capabilities at a reasonable price.

Inside, the fridge features the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door and two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded down to make space for taller items. You'll also find a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the ice when needed. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers that can help you better organize the placement of items. It comes with a large bin for storing frozen food and a separate one for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a nice method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good choice for those who want to combine the benefits of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the best counter depth refrigerator that comes with an icemaker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door refrigerator that won't cost a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a simple fridge which may not be as attractive like some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make it a good option. Its most important feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also comes with a huge ice maker and a water dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated above the two crisper bins, is a great feature. This drawer lets you redirect a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power directly into this area, meaning you can store foods that need extra attention. You can alter the feature using the slider located on the on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this feature to set a general cooling level for the whole fridge, however, I've found that changing the general settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones.

During my tests, I found that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different parts of the refrigerator. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary very far from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a solid performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to an intelligent thermometer to get more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of grey-bodied stainless steel which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does an excellent job of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared to the shiny stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
