Fluoroscopy during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) exposes staff and patients to potentially harmful ionizing radiation. We performed a UK survey to explore trainee and trainer attitudes to radiation protection and cholangiogram interpretation in ERCP.

An electronic 10-point survey was prospectively distributed to endoscopy unit leads, training programme directors between October and November 2019. Only UK-based ERCP trainees and trainers with hands-on procedural exposure were eligible for the survey.

The survey was completed by 107 respondents (58 trainees and 49 trainers), with an estimated overall response rate of 46%. Overall, 49% of respondents were up to date with their radiation protection course, 38% were aware of European Basic safety standards directive (BSSD), 38% wore radiation protection goggles, and 40% were aware of the average radiation screening dose per ERCP procedure. Compared with trainers, trainees were less likely to routinely wear thyroid protection shields (76% vs 92%; p=0.028), have awareness of the BSSD (20% vs 49%; p=0.037) or know their average procedural radiation dosages (21% vs 63%; p<0.001). With regard to cholangiogram interpretation, only 26% had received formal training, with 97% of trainees expressing a desire for further training.

This survey highlights a relative complacency in safety attitudes to radiation protection during ERCP. These data provide impetus to improve training and quality assurance in radiation protection, which should be regarded as a mandatory safety aspect prior to commencing hands-on ERCP training.

Plant trichomes have been well studied as a structural plant defence designed to protect plants against abiotic and biotic stressors such as UV rays, temperature extremities and herbivores. Trichomes are primarily classified into glandular and non-glandular trichomes, based on the presence or absence of a glandular head. The plant genus Solanum is the largest genus of family Solanaceae that houses ~3500 species of ecological and economic importance have a diverse set of trichomes that vary in density and morphology. Using electron microscopy, statistical analyses and artistic rendition, we examined finer details of trichomes and measured their density and dimensions to compile a detailed data set which can be of use for estimating the variation in trichome types, and their density, with consequences for understanding their functional roles. Effectively improving the treatment of cardiology patients and speeding up the recovery of cardiology patients have become a social problem. This article aims to explore the impact of diverse nursing care on patients in cardiology treatment. This article first gives a detailed introduction to the treatment of diverse nursing and cardiology diseases, then takes 300 cardiology patients in our hospital as experimental subjects, and conducts a controlled experiment of nursing intervention, which is categorized into an experimental group of 150 cases (including 35 cases of hypertension, 46 cases of diabetes, 28 cases of coronary heart disease, 24 cases of angina pectoris, and 17 cases of multiple complications) and a control group of compared with the control group, the quality of life of the experimental group improved more significantly and the highest score reached about 70; the overall satisfaction of the experimental group with nursing work reached 92%, while the satisfaction of the control group with nursing work was only 44.67%. Studies have shown that diversified care has a positive impact on the rehabilitation of patients in cardiology treatment.This research was aimed to study CT image features based on the backprojection filtering reconstruction algorithm and evaluate the effect of ropivacaine combined with dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine on assisted thoracoscopic lobectomy to provide reference for clinical diagnosis. A total of 110 patients undergoing laparoscopic resection were selected as the study subjects. Anesthesia induction and nerve block were performed with ropivacaine combined with dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine before surgery, and chest CT scan was performed. The backprojection image reconstruction algorithm was constructed and applied to patient CT images for reconstruction processing. The results showed that when the overlapping step size was 16 and the block size was 32 × 32, the running time of the algorithm was the shortest. The resolution and sharpness of reconstructed images were better than the Fourier transform analytical method and iterative reconstruction algorithm. The detection rates of lung nodules smaller than 6 mm and 6-30 mm (92.35% and 95.44%) were significantly higher than those of the Fourier transform analytical method and iterative reconstruction algorithm (90.98% and 87.53%; 88.32% and 90.87%) (P less then 0.05). After anesthesia induction and lobectomy with ropivacaine combined with dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine, the visual analogue scale (VAS) decreased with postoperative time. The VAS score decreased to a lower level (1.76 ± 0.54) after five days. In summary, ropivacaine combined with dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine had better sedation and analgesia effects in patients with thoracoscopic lobectomy. In this study, in order to provide theoretical guidance and practical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of clinical OMI, 10 patients with OMI were selected and divided into two groups, with 5 patients in each group. In addition, an algebraic iterative reconstruction algorithm is constructed, which starts from the initial estimation value, compares, and corrects the estimation results and the measured results continuously until the error between the two results is less than the predetermined value. The experimental group was optimized by algebraic iterative reconstruction algorithm, and the control group was reconstructed by the hospital original method. The image quality parameters under different iteration times were analyzed and compared to obtain the oion algorithm was greatly reduced and the diagnostic accuracy was hugely improved. Therefore, the coronary artery CT imaging based on iterative reconstruction algorithm could make more effective use of medical resources and improve the diagnostic accuracy in the diagnosis of OMI.This article conducts a retrospective analysis of 500 patients with posttraumatic elbow dysfunction admitted to our department from March 2019 to September 2020. The average time from injury to operation is 11 months (2-20 months).
