Using a cut-off value >0%, we observed that 3.5%-59.1% of the cases were considered positive for CD30. There was a significant association of the protein expression with a lower number of extra-nodal sites affected by the neoplasm, with Ann Arbor advanced stage, the absence of B-symptoms, the lack of MYC and BCL2 translocations, and a lower ECOG performance. Using a cut-off value >20%, we observed that 2.5%-36.7% of the cases were considered positive for CD30, being significantly associated with a lower number of extra-nodal sites affected by the neoplasm, Ann Arbor stages III/IV, non-GCB tumours, the lack of MYC and BCL2 translocations, and a lower ECOG value. CD30 expression was significantly associated with a better survival rate, regardless of what cut-off parameter was used.

The risks and benefits of remote corticosteroid weaning in heart transplant recipients more than 2years post-transplant are unknown. We compared outcomes in patients undergoing early and remote steroid weaning after heart transplantation.

We performed a retrospective study (range 09, 1991-04, 2017). Primary outcomes included short-term and long-term mortality, allograft dysfunction, and burden of rejection. Secondary outcomes included impact on hemoglobin A1c, lipid panel, bone scan T-score, and body mass index.

63 patients underwent corticosteroid weaning between 2012 and 2017. In general, a number of nanoparticles are uncontrollably fixed on a millimetre-sized electrode for electrochemical measurements. However, it is hard to reveal the maximum electrocatalytic activity owing to the aggregation and detachment of nanoparticles on the electrode surface. To solve this problem, here, we take the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyzed by palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) as a model system to track the electrocatalytic activity of single Pd NPs by stochastic collision electrochemistry and ensemble electrochemistry, respectively. Compared with the nanoparticle fixed working condition, Pd NPs in the nanoparticle diffused working condition results in a 2-5 orders magnitude enhancement of electrocatalytic activity for HER at various bias potential. Stochastic collision electrochemistry with high temporal resolution gives further insights into the accurate study of NPs' electrocatalytic performance, enabling to dramatically enhance electrocatalytic efficiency.
This study investigated the association between the preoperative lipid profiles and new-onset diabetes after transplantation (NODAT) in Chinese kidney transplant recipients (KTRs).

In this study, of 1140 KTRs registered between January 1993 and March 2018 in Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, 449 were enrolled. Clinical data, obtained through a chart review of the patient records in the medical record system, were evaluated, and NODAT was diagnosed based on the American Diabetes Association guidelines. Multivariate Cox regression analysis was conducted to determine whether the preoperative lipid profiles in KTRs were independently associated with NODAT incidence. The preoperative lipid profiles were analyzed as continuous variables and grouped into tertiles. Smooth curve fitting was used to confirm the linear associations.

During a median follow-up of 28.03 (interquartile range 12.00-84.23)months, 104 of the 449 (23.16%) participants developed NODAT. The multivariate model analysis, adjusted for all potential covariates, showed that increased values of the following parameters were associated with NODAT (hazard ratio, 95% confidence interval) preoperative total cholesterol (TC; 1.25, 1.09-1.58, p=0.0495), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C; 1.33, 1.02-1.75, p=0.0352), non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C; 1.41, 1.09-1.82, p=0.0084), TC/HDL-C (1.28, 1.06-1.54, p=0.0109), and non-HDL-C/HDL-C (1.26, 1.05-1.52, p=0.0138). However, the association between the preoperative triglyceride, HDL-C, or TG/HDL-C and NODAT was not significant.

Distal roots of three mandibular premolars in six beagle dogs were extracted, and the whole buccal and lingual bony walls were surgically removed. Three treatment protocols were then applied according to the following group allocation no graft (None), grafting DPBM (BG), and grafting DPBM with coverage by a collagen membrane (BG+M). Two observational periods (2 and 8weeks) were used with the split-mouth design, and quantitative and qualitative analyses were performed by microcomputed tomography and histology.

The dimensions of the alveolar ridge at both grafted sites (BG and BG+M) remained similar to those of the pristine ridge in the histologic and radiographic analyses, whereas the ungrafted sites (None) collapsed both vertically and horizontally. Both grafting protocols produced substantial bony regeneration, but the addition of a covering membrane enhanced the proportion of mineralized tissue within the augmented area, and the BG+M group also showed a significantly larger area of regenerated ridge than the None group (p<.05).
