The prevalence of cough in CA was 86.4%, while CVA reported more severe cough on Visual Analog Scale, Cough Evaluation Test, and Leicester Cough Questionnaire, similar anxiety and depression scores but better asthma control scores as reflected by Asthma Control Test compared to CA. No correlation was found between cough assessment outcomes and sputum eosinophil count, blood eosinophil count, FENO, spirometry variables, or PD20-FEV1.

Multimorbidity presents an enormous problem to societal and healthcare utilization under the context of aging population in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Currently, systematic studies on the profile of multimorbidity and its characteristics among Chinese elderly are lacking. We described the temporal and spatial trends in the prevalence of multimorbidity and explored chronological changes of comorbidity patterns in a large elderly population survey.

Data were extracted from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Study (CLHLS) conducted between 1998 and 2018 in a random selection of half of the counties and city districts. All the elderly aged 65 and older were included in the survey of eight waves. We used 13 investigated chronic diseases to measure the prevalence of multimorbidity by means of geography, subpopulation, and chronological changes. The patterns of multimorbidity were assessed by computing the value of relative risk (RR indicates the likelihood of certain diseases to be associver time, which had a higher probability of coexistence in all the multimorbidity combinations.

There are scarce data on the prevalence and disease presentation of HIV in patients with tuberculosis (TB) and dysglycemia (diabetes [DM] and prediabetes [PDM]), especially in TB-endemic countries.

We assessed the baseline epidemiological and clinical characteristics of patients with culture-confirmed pulmonary TB, enrolled in a multicenter prospective cohort in Brazil (RePORT-Brazil) during 2015-2019. Dysglycemia was defined by elevated glycated hemoglobin and stratified as PDM or DM. Additionally, we used data from TB cases obtained through the Brazilian National Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), during 2015-2019. In SINAN, diagnosis of diabetes was based on self-report. Logistic regression models were performed to test independent associations between HIV, dysglycemia status, and other baseline characteristics in both cohorts.

In the RePORT-Brazil cohort, the prevalence of DM and of PDM was 23.7 and 37.8%, respectively. Furthermore, the prevalence of HIV was 21.4% in the group of personciated with more frequent use of recreational drugs and smear negative sputum samples during TB screening.
There is a high prevalence of dysglycemia in patients with pulmonary TB in Brazil, regardless of the HIV status. This reinforces the idea that DM should be systematically screened in persons with TB. Ultrasound-guided core biopsy (UGCB) for supraclavicular lymph nodes (SLNs) represents an attractive procedure to obtain tissues for lung cancer confirmation. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the performance of UGCB driven by FDG-avid SLNs, as performed by nuclear medicine physicians, in patients with suspected lung cancer.

Institutional database in our hospital was searched for eligible patients between September 2019 and March 2021. A 3-12 MHz linear probe was used to guide the biopsy process and to ensure that the needle tip was being directed at the metabolically active area that had been indicated by side-by-side PET/CT images. Diagnostic yield, malignancy rate, molecular testing results, and complications were reviewed.

Online video-based learning is more common in higher education. Investigating students' viewing behaviors while watching online video lectures is essential for instructors to understand their learning status so that the course content, structure, and media selection can be improved continuously. The current study identified the engagement level of the learners based on their online video-watching behaviors, and tested the correlation between the engagement level and learning outcome.

The action logs of watching online video lectures in 2020 Spring Pharmacology of the 4th-year medical students of the 6-year course and their feedbacks by questionnaires after each exam during the semester were provided anonymously.
