Moreover, due to the tubular structure, the loaded silver content of the composites (AgNPs and AF1 nanotube, AF1-Ag) could reach about 50% by thermogravimetric analysis (TG) evaluation. Thus, the smaller size of AgNPs and higher silver loading content suggest that the composites could be applied in the biomedical field. The antibacterial properties of AF1-Ag were evaluated as an example in the present work. As expected, the culture medium contained a few of AF1-Ag (10% ω%, c = 50 μg/mL) exhibited obvious antibacterial properties, and the effect of bacteriostasis increased with the increase of the amount of supported silver content. Taken together, the AF1-Ag with good antibacterial activity and good stability has the potential to be applied in the antibacterial field.Polysaccharides-based hydrogel has many advantages such as biocompatibility, self-repair property, and biodegradability. It has been widely applied in various fields and has attracted great attention of researchers. The natural polysaccharides involved in this review include fenugreek gum, guar gum, locust bean gum, gellan gum, sodium alginate, agarose, and konjac glucomannan etc. Borax is a highly effective crosslinking agent for cis-ortho-hydroxyl polysaccharides. This paper focused on the synthesis mechanism, functional additives, characteristics, and applications of borax crosslinked cis-ortho-hydroxyl polysaccharides hydrogels (BHs). Moreover, the factors affecting BHs performance such as temperature, pH, and media were analyzed. Its mechanical and self-repair properties are enhanced by the dynamic and reversible borate/di-diol, which play a significant role in sensors, biomedicine, and tissue engineering. This review summarizes the research progress of BHs for the first time. Additionally, hoping to contribute to the development of this field, the review analyzes the correlation of performance through the SPSS 26 software.Attapulgite (ATP) has a unique porous layered chain structure and is an excellent environment-friendly decolorizer. However, its high viscosity makes it difficult to separate. First, it was combined with magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles to obtain Fe3O4-ATP that is easy to recycle and reuse. Then, Fe3O4-ATP nanoparticles were embedded in chitosan (CS) gel beads, and glutaraldehyde was used for cross-linking and curing. Lastly, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) was successfully connected to Fe3O4-ATP/CS gel beads through amidation reaction, which further increased the capability of the adsorbent to adsorb heavy metal ions. The prepared magnetic composite adsorbent is a sphere with a rough surface and porous structure. The maximum adsorption capacity of the prepared Fe3O4-ATP/EDTA/CS adsorbent for Pb(II), Cu(II), and Ni(II) is 368.32, 267.94, and 220.31 mg g-1, respectively. After 5 times of repeated use, Fe3O4-ATP/EDTA/CS still showed good adsorption capacity for Cu(II), Pb(II), and Ni(II). Fe3O4-ATP/EDTA/CS has a large adsorption capacity for heavy metal ions, a wide pH applicability, good reuse, and rapid magnetic separation. In addition, Cu(II) loaded Fe3O4-ATP/EDTA/CS also showed good catalytic degradation performance for bisphenol A. This study prepared a new type of adsorbent with good adsorption performance and provided a promising method for the treatment of wastewater.The present work reports a versatile approach to the manufacture of chitosan beads with tunable pore size and targeted properties. To achieve this, the as prepared chitosan beads were allowed to interact with aqueous solutions of two types of oxidized pullulan derivatives. Depending on the functional groups present on the pullulan structure after oxidation, i.e., carboxyl or aldehyde, covalent or physical hybrid hydrogels could be prepared. The attachment of oxidized pullulan onto chitosan structure was checked by FTIR, RMN, XPS and thermal analysis. The morphology of the hybrid structures was evaluated by using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). After structural evaluations, all the prepared hydrogels were characterized by means of dynamic vapor sorption and swelling degree studies, exhibiting a Case-II swelling mechanism. Drug model compounds, such as ibuprofen, bacitracin and neomycin were used for drug loading and release assays, proving high drug loading capacity and tunable release behavior. SLE MRL/LPR mice and mouse glomerular mesangial cells SV40 MES 13 cells were employed for in vivo or vitro experiments. USP7, JMJD3 and NF-κB expression in MRL/LPR mice were detected, followed by investigation of their functions in the proliferation of mesangial cells and mesangial matrix. Subsequently, the interaction among USP7, JMJD3 and NF-κB was determined by means of ChIP and co-immunoprecipitation assay. The results indicated that USP7, JMJD3, p-NF-κB p65 were all highly-expressed in MRL/LPR mice. USP7 promoted the proliferation of mesangial cells and mesangial matrix, and stabilized the JMJD3 protein via deubiquitination in SV40 MES 13 cells. Meanwhile, silencing of JMJD3 inhibited the promotive effect of USP7 on the proliferation of mesangial cells and mesangial matrix.
