One of the most distinctive features of epithelial ovarian cancer is tendency to disseminate into peritoneal cavity to form peritoneal carcinomatosis, indicating advanced disease with poor prognosis.

A fifty-year-old patient had a chief complaint of an abdominal distension lasting 1 month.

The patient was diagnosed with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis by computed tomography scan, tumor markers, endoscopy examination, and pathology.

The patient was treated with cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy followed by 8 cycles of systemic chemotherapy.

Till March 9, 2020, the patient has disease-free survival over 10 years.

The application of cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy combined with systematic chemotherapy may improve survival dramatically for the patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and peritoneal carcinomatosis and should be considered as an option of a relatively new regime.

Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an epidemic respiratory infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 infection. Now it is popular all over the world on a large scale. COVID-19 has the characteristics of rapid transmission, atypical clinical symptoms, easy missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, and so on. which has seriously affected social and economic development and people's health. Severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus type 2 infection may lead to systemic cytokine storm, which leads to a sharp deterioration of the condition of ordinary patients. At present, no specific drug has been found in the clinical treatment of covid-19, while Xuebijing injection has been widely used in severe patients in China as a traditional Chinese medicine. The aim of this study is to assess the effificacy and safety of Xuebijing injection for COVID-19.

Before the research, we conducted a comprehensive search on relevant websites. Two professional researchers will gradually screen, read the title, abstract and full text if necessary, and independently select qualified documents according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. We will conduct a meta-analysis of the results related to COVID-19 to assess the risks of bias and data extraction. The heterogeneity of data will be studied by Cochrane X and I tests. The evaluation of publication bias will be carried out by funnel chart analysis and Eger test.

This review will be disseminated in print by peer-review.

Our research is to scientifically analyze the clinical evidence of Xuebijing injection in treating severe COVID-19 patients.

This systematic review protocol aims to describe a meta-analysis to assess the effectiveness and safety of auricular therapy for patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Randomized controlled trials of auricular therapy in treating PCOS will be searched in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wan-Fang Database, and Chinese Scientific Journal Database. The primary outcome is the body mass index. The study selection, data extraction, and study quality evaluation will be performed independently by 2 researchers. A meta-analysis will be performed using RevMan V5.3 statistical software if possible; otherwise, descriptive analysis or subgroup analysis will be conducted. The quality of evidence for outcomes will be assessed with the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation approach.

This study will evaluate the effect and safety of auricular therapy in treating PCOS.

The evidence we generated from the present study will provide more options for PCOS management in clinical practice.

Oral mucositis (OM), one of the most common side effects for cancer patients who have undergone chemotherapy, can cause severe impairment to patients' functional ability and impact their quality of life, resulting in delayed and/or incomplete treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine offers empirical herbal decoctions to gargle for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced OM; however, evidence for its clinical efficacy and safety is lacking. Therefore, we provide a protocol to evaluate the preventive effect and safety of Chinese herbal medicine mouthwash in chemotherapy-induced OM.

We will comprehensively retrieve relevant articles published till August 15, 2020, in the following electronic databases the Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBASE, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Science and Technique Journals Database, and the Wan-fang Database. Only randomized controlled trials will be included. We will use the criteria provided by the Cochrane Handbook for quality assessment and risk assessment of the included studies and use the RevMan 5.3 software for meta-analysis of the preventive effect and safety.

This study will assess the preventive effect and safety of Chinese herbal medicine mouthwash in chemotherapy-induced OM.

This systematic review will provide evidence-based medical corroboration for the clinical application of the Chinese herbal medicine mouthwash in chemotherapy-induced OM.

Sepsis has become a global healthcare problem and continues to be one of the leading causes of death due to infection. In essence, early recognition and diagnosis of sepsis is needed to inhibit the transition into septic shock, which is correlated with higher mortality. Many studies have suggested antimicrobial de-escalation as one of the strategies to replace the empirical broad-spectrum antimicrobial treatment using a narrower antimicrobial therapy, especially among patients with sepsis. However, antimicrobial de-escalation therapeutic effects in sepsis remains unclear. We therefore performed the present study in an attempt to assess efficacy and safety of antimicrobial de-escalation therapy in patients with sepsis.

We will carry out a systematic literature search to establish the potentially eligible trials from electronic databases, including EMBASE (1980 to October 16, 2020), MEDLINE via PubMed (1966 to October 16, 2020), Web of Science (1965 to October 16, 2020), Cochrane Library (CENTRAL; 2020, Iss/osf.io/93wym/).Over one-third of infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) eventually require a Nissen fundoplication (NF). We examined pre- and intraoperative predictors for need of a NF in children undergoing CDH repair to elucidate, which patients will need a later NF.A retrospective analysis of all consecutive patients undergoing CDH repair at our institution from 2008 to 2018 was performed. Patients who underwent a NF were compared to those who did not (noNissen). Logistic regression analysis was performed to find independent predictors for NF in patients undergoing CDH repair. Severe Defect Grade was defined as defect >50% of the hemidiaphragm and intrathoracic liver. One hundred twenty-six patients were included, 42 (33%) underwent NF at a median of 61 days after CDH repair. Intrathoracic liver was more frequent in the NF (71%) versus noNissen (45%) group (P = .008). Absence of >50% of the hemidiaphragm was more frequent in the NF group (76% vs 31%, P  less then  .001). Severe Defect Grade emerged as independent predictor for NF (odds ratio 7, 95% confidence interval 3-16, P  less then  .001).Severe Defect Grade emerged as independent predictor for NF after CDH repair.
Heart failure (HF) is one of the primary causes of the increasing public health costs, incidence rate and mortality of heart disease. As treatment options for the HF have evolved, people have a better understanding of overall burden of HF, resulting a more centralized method for the treatment of these patients with chronic diseases. At present, with the rapid progress of medical technology, the nursing mode must be updated accordingly. The objective of this trial is to investigate the effects of the program of nursing care and follow-up on life quality, self-care, and the rehospitalization of patients with HF.

This is a randomized controlled study to be carried out from November 2020 to March 2021 and was granted through the Ethics Committee of Changshan County People's Hospital (CCPH002376). The patients meet the following criteria will be included the age of the patients is 18 years and above, and the functional classification is NYHA II or NYHA III. The patients with the following criteria will be excluded patients who have received the by-pass surgery in the last 6 months; cancer patients are given radiotherapy or chemotherapy; patients with severe renal failure requiring dialysis; patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who need ventilation; and patients with hearing or visual impairment. In our experiment, patient information scale, the life quality scale (The Left Ventricular Dysfunction Scale) and Self-Care of HF Index are utilized for the assessment. learn more All the analyses are implemented with SPSS for Windows Version 20.0.

Impact of experimental programs on outcomes will be illustrated in the Table.

We hypothesize that the nursing care conducted for the HF patients may improve the life quality and self-care.

Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) has become the major reason of causing death around the world. As a newer generation fibrinolytic agent, the potential of tenecteplase in treating AIS has been determined in clinical studies and meta-analysis. However, various doses have been prescribed for tenecteplase in clinical practice, and the optimal dose is not yet clear.

We will perform a systematic search to capture all potential randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of persons with confirmed AIS who were instructed to administer tenecteplase that report at least one outcome in PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library. Two reviewers will independently check the titles, abstracts, and full-texts, extracting data, assessing the risk of bias and evaluating the certainty of evidence. We will use a random-effect model based on the Bayesian framework to completely direct and network meta-analyses. We will also test the robustness of all pooled results through conducting subgroup analyses according to the following criteria DIis protocol was funded through a protocol registry.
Rotavirus infection is the main cause of severe dehydration enteritis in children under 5 years old. It gives rise to malnutrition and even death in children even though there were rotavirus vaccines. However, there is no effective anti-virus drugs for rotavirus, supporting treatments are used in the clinics. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been treating diarrhea for many years. Gegen Huangqin Huanglian Decoction (GHHD)is a classic prescription for diarrhea in TCM. With the development of clinical trials and basic studies, GHHD has been proved that a good curative effect on diarrhea. Therefore, a systematic review is necessary to improve available evidence for GHHD in therapy of children under 5 years old with rotavirus enteritis.

Different studies from various databases will be involved in this study. Only randomized controlled trials of rotavirus enteritis patients diagnosed with Guidelines for the Treatment of Acute Gastroenteritis in Outpatient Pediatrics, which released by the Washington International Children's Medical Center, Zhu Futang's Practical Pediatrics (7 th Edition), and the 2016 clinical practice guidelines for children with acute infectious diarrhea in China.
