Preterm infants have a higher risk of development disorders. Prematurity can be considered a source of stress, in both children and their parents, due to the high number of interventions that they require. Early intervention (EI) programmes have shown to have a positive influence on the neurodevelopment of children with neurological risk. On the other hand, parenting stress has a negative influence on the development of any child. This systematic review aimed to identify the effect of EI programmes on decreasing parenting stress suffered by parents of preterm babies.
Systematic review and meta-analysis of experimental studies in accordance with the PRISMA declaration guidelines were applied in this work.
Fifteen randomized clinical trials were included whose methodological quality was assessed using the PEDro scale. Stress data extraction was meta-analysed using the inverse variance method in a random effects model. Statistical heterogeneity was assessed with the I
heterogeneity statistic. Herein, we demonstrate a hollow nanotube Fe2 O3 /MoO3 heterojunction (FeMo-2) for the photoelectrocatalytic conversion of small-molecule alcohols. Experimental and theoretical analyses reveal that the optical carrier transfer rate is enhanced by constructing interfacial internal electric fields and Fe-O-Mo charge transfer channels. For the formox process, heterojunctions possess superior HCHO-selective reaction paths and free energy transitions, optimizing the selectivity of HCHO and enhancing the reactivity. FeMo-2 shows a greatly improved performance compared to single Fe2 O3 ; the photocurrent density of FeMo-2 reaches 0.66 mA cm-2 , which is 3.88 times that of Fe2 O3 (0.17 mA cm-2 ), and the Faraday efficiency of the CH3 OH-to-HCHO conversion is 95.7 %. This work may deepen our understanding of interfacial charge separation and has potential for the production of HCHO and for conversion reactions of other small-molecule alcohols at cryogenic temperatures.Intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIg) are increasingly being used to treat a wide spectrum of dermatological and neurological autoimmune diseases. Although the administration of IVIg does not usually result in severe adverse reactions, side effects of IVIg reportedly occur in 6-13% of patients. Most reported cases were not severe, and IVIg is considered a relatively safe drug. Some reports described a vesicular eczematous eruption caused by IVIg that was cured by applying topical steroid ointments or systemic steroids. Herein, we present, to the best of our knowledge, the first case of severe vesicular eczematous eruption all over the body induced by IVIg that was unresponsive to topical steroid ointment and was subsequently treated with narrow band-ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) therapy successfully. NB-UVB was started at a dose of 400 mJ/cm2 once a week, and swift improvement was observed. The skin rash disappeared in the first 2 months, and the pathogenesis of IVIg-induced eczematous eruption remains unelucidated. No change in eosinophils and complement levels were observed in our case. Given the increase in the widespread use of IVIg, we have shown that NB-UVB therapy is a candidate choice for the treatment of IVIg-induced severe vesicular eczematous eruption. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted lives around the world. Autistic adults are at higher risk for co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions and may be more prone to difficulties adapting to pandemic-related changes and social distancing mandates and coping with ongoing uncertainties. On the other hand, the pandemic may lead to greater understanding and acceptance of accommodations in the broader community that may facilitate supports for autistic adults beyond the pandemic. To learn more about their early pandemic experiences, online surveys were sent to independent adults enrolled in the Simons Powering Autism Research Knowledge (SPARK). The first survey was open from March 30 to April 19, 2020; a follow-up survey sent to original responders was open from May 27 to June 6, yielding 396 participants with data for both surveys. We found that adults who were female, younger, had prior diagnoses of a mental health condition, personal COVID-19 experience (i.e., knowing someone who had symptoms or tested poted with greater psychological distress. Less perceived benefit from online services also predicted distress 2 months later. These results suggest important areas to further explore as we develop supports for autistic adults during the pandemic.Cardiac hemangioma is relatively rare, accounting for approximately 1-3% of all primary heart tumors. This benign tumor may be an incidental lesion, but can also cause arrhythmias, pericardial effusion, congestive heart failure or outflow obstruction. We report a rare case with exophytic cardiac hemangioma arising from the right ventricle. Echocardiography showed an approximately 40 mm round protruding mass on the anterior wall of the right ventricle. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance demonstrated isointense and hyperintense signals on T1- and T2-weighted images, respectively. These imaging studies suggested a pericardial cyst. Perioperative findings indicated a globular, exophytic mass, vascular in nature, arising from the right ventricle. The lesion was resected directly, and the space left by defect in the right ventricular wall was covered with a bovine pericardial patch. Cardiac hemangiomas are generally endoluminal tumors, but we must keep in mind that the differential diagnoses include various pericardial lesions by medical images. The aim of this study was to summarise the clinical evidence supporting almost 40 years of topical cadexomer iodine (CIOD) use in wound bed preparation by removing barriers to healing such as exudate, slough, bioburden, and infection and allowing chronic wound progression. A systematic review was conducted (Embase/PubMed, November 2020) to identify relevant comparative studies meeting inclusion criteria. Meta-analyses were performed using a fixed-effects (I2 less then 50%) or random-effects model (I2 ≥ 50%) depending on statistical heterogeneity. Dichotomous outcomes were reported as relative risk (RR) and continuous outcomes as mean difference (MD), with 95% confidence intervals. In total, 436 publications were identified of which 13 were comparative trials including outcomes of interest. Significant reductions in exudate, pus/debris, slough, bioburden, and infection were reported in chronic wounds treated with CIOD, compared with standard of care (SOC). Meta-analyses highlighted the positive impact of CIOD on mean wound area reduction (MD = 2.35 cm2 , 95% CI = 0.34-4.36, P = .0219) after eight weeks treatment and overall wound healing events compared to SOC; wounds including venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers treated with CIOD were more than twice as likely to heal than those receiving SOC (RR = 2.30, 95% CI = 1.54-3.45, P less then .0001). read more This meta-analysis demonstrates the efficacy of CIOD on chronic wounds through removal of barriers to healing. CIOD should be considered in wound bed preparation and treatment protocols.A new series of nonionic gemini amphiphiles have been synthesized in a multi-step chemoenzymatic approach by using a novel A2 B2 -type central core consisting of conjugating glycerol and propargyl bromide on 5-hydroxy isophthalic acid. A pair of hydrophilic monomethoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (mPEG) and hydrophobic linear alkyl chains (C12 /C15 ) were then added to the core to obtain amphiphilic architectures. The aggregation tendency in aqueous media was studied by dynamic light scattering, fluorescence spectroscopy and cryogenic transmission electron microscopy. The nanotransport potential of the amphiphiles was studied for model hydrophobic guests, that is, the dye Nile Red and the drug Nimodipine by using UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Evaluation of the viability of amphiphile-treated A549 cells showed them to be well tolerated up to the concentrations studied. Being ester based, these amphiphiles exhibit stimuli-responsive sensitivity towards esterases, and a rupture of amphiphilic architecture was observed in the presence of immobilized Candida antarctica lipase (Novozym 435), thus facilitating release of the encapsulated guest from the aggregate.
Primary care physicians (PCPs) recently started using standardised care pathways (PCPs) to refer patients to specialists for diagnostics in Sweden. The aim of the current study is therefore to examine PCPs views of implementing standardised care pathways (SCPs) in cancer care.
In total, 27 semi-structured interviews (17 individual and 10 group interviews) were conducted within 24 primary care units, including 61 physicians representing the public and private sectors. Interviews were conducted during 2017 and 2018. Data were analysed using a thematic analysis approach.
Eight themes, including both perceived opportunities and challenges with the SCPs, were identified in the analysis. Most PCPs valued the SCPs, citing that they expedited the referral system and decreased patient waiting time. However, the guidelines were not completely clear leaving PCPs to wonder what constituted an SCP referral, who should initiate the referral, and how PCPs should communicate and collaborate with specialists.
SCPs were a welcomed organisational change by PCPs, where PCPs thought that the SCPs could help in providing better patient care to potential cancer patients. However, updated guidelines and clarifications within the SCPs are warranted to have increased services for both the patients and medical personnel.

Early psychosis is typically operationalized as a categorical construct by dividing people into one of three diagnostic statuses low-risk, clinical high-risk, and first episode psychosis. We empirically assess whether an alternative dimensional approach focused on observed symptom severity may be more desirable for clinical and research purposes.
Participants were 152 help-seeking youths ages 12-22 years old. Structured interview for psychosis risk syndromes interviews were used to obtain dimensional psychosis symptom severity ratings, and to classify participants by categorical psychosis risk status. Twenty-five participants were classified as having a diagnosable psychotic disorder, 52 participants as clinical high-risk, and 75 participants as help-seeking controls. We assessed the relation between categorical and dimensional measurements of psychosis severity, and then compared categorical versus dimensional psychosis severity in their ability to predict social and role functioning.
On average, dimenimensional rather than categorical approach to the psychosis risk spectrum may facilitate better predictive models and a richer theoretical understanding of early psychosis.
