To estimate rate of perioperative complications and to define risk factors of 30-day major (Clavien-Dindo≥2) postoperative complications of total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) for benign disease.

An uncontrolled single-center single-arm retrospective study. Data of consecutive patients who have undergone TLH for pathologically confirmed benign disease between January 2000 and December 2019 have been analyzed. Perioperative surgical outcomes, occurrence of postoperative complications, readmissions, and reoperations within 30days from surgery were registered. Univariate and multivariable analyses were performed to determine the factors associated with major (Clavien-Dindo≥2) postoperative complications.

Over the study period 3090 patients were included in the study. Conversion to open surgery occurred in 54 (1.7%) cases. Mean operative time for TLH was 87.7 (±1.7) minutes while mean estimated blood loss was 119.5 (+7.4) mL. Overall, postoperative complications were registered in 430 (13.9%) patients, anA huge effort should be made to minimize the occurrence of intraoperative complications and the need for conversion to open surgery. Study design This retrospective cohort study included 734 women undergoing IVF treatment between January 2017 and May 2018 and had body weight measured on the day of ovarian stimulation starting (basal-weight) and on the hCG trigger day (hCG-weight). The difference of hCG-weight and basal-weight was calculated and correlated to number of oocytes retrieved and ovarian stimulation protocol. For 358 women, two international validated questionnaires to evaluate the anxiety and binge eating were applied at the end of ovarian stimulation and also associated to the body weight gain.

The basal-weight and hCG-weight were paired compared and demonstrate a statistically significant weigally irrelevant despite of the statistical significance and will probably be resolved in some days after oocytes retrieval. The purpose of our study was to assess the knowledge and attitudes toward expanded carrier screening (ECS) between the medical staff and general population in China.

It was a survey-based cross-sectional study in Chinese. We provided an online survey for the general public nationwide. We classified the population into the medical staff and general population to evaluate the knowledge gap and provide a reference for ECS's education programs. Except for obstetrician-gynecologists and nurses in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, other medical staff were not included in our study. A total of 1947 questionnaires were collected from July 11, 2020 to February 10, 2021. Observational study involving 104 patients recruited between September.2018 and June.2019 at a University associated assisted reproduction center. The relationship of different parameters (age, body mass index (BMI), duration of hormonal preparation, plasmatic progesterone levels, endometrial parameters at ultrasound assessment and endometrial receptivity determined by endometrial receptivity assay (ERA) was evaluated by a multivariable logistic (binomial) analysis after hormonal preparation. According to the ERA test results a personalized endometrial transfer (pET) was scheduled and live birth rate was assessed. Only single transfers of frozen euploid blastocysts were performed.

The effects of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) on steel corrosion without organic carbon are not clear. In this work, SRB cells were enriched in the simulated soil solution, aiming to study SRB corrosion behavior without organic carbon source using weight loss, electrochemical measurements, and surface analysis. Effects of DO on SRB corrosion were also studied. Results indicate that SRB can survive after 14 days of incubation without organic carbon source, but approximately 90% SRB have died. SRB without organic carbon source could inhibit the uniform corrosion but enhance the pitting corrosion compared with the control specimen. The corrosion rate of the control calculated from weight loss is highest with a value of (0.081 ± 0.013) mm/y. The highest localized corrosion rate of (0.306 ± 0.006) mm/y is obtained with an initial SRB count of 107 cells/mL. The presence of DO influences the steel corrosion process. Rats were intravenously injected with AGC after middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO), which showed to suppress neuronal loss and reduce neurological deficits. In addition, AGC inhibited pro-inflammatory cytokine release and increased anti-inflammatory cytokines. Furthermore, this study revealed that treatment with AGC supported microglia transition from M1 to M2 in both oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion (OGD/R) and LPS/IFN-γ induced microglia cells, as well as indirectly inhibited LPS/IFN-γ-induced neuronal damage through the modulation of microglial polarization.
