Yuzu seed limonoids and Spermine may help to maintain the homeostasis of intestinal microbiota and hypothalamic tissue in the SD mouse model.Murine Double Minute Clone 2, located at 12q15, is an oncogene that codes for an oncoprotein of which the association with p53 was discovered 30 years ago. The most important function of MDM2 is to control p53 activity; it is in fact the best documented negative regulator of p53. Mutations of the tumor suppressor gene p53 represent the most frequent genetic change in human cancers. By overexpressing MDM2, cancer cells have another means to block p53. The sarcomas in which MDM2 amplification is a hallmark are well-differentiated liposarcoma/atypical lipomatous tumor, dedifferentiated liposarcoma, intimal sarcoma, and low-grade osteosarcoma. The purpose of this review is to summarize the typical clinical, histopathological, immunohistochemical, and genetic features of these tumors.Histamine is a highly pleiotropic biogenic amine involved in key physiological processes including neurotransmission, immune response, nutrition, and cell growth and differentiation. Its effects, sometimes contradictory, are mediated by at least four different G-protein coupled receptors, which expression and signalling pathways are tissue-specific. Histamine metabolism conforms a very complex network that connect many metabolic processes important for homeostasis, including nitrogen and energy metabolism. This review brings together and analyses the current information on the relationships of the "histamine system" with other important metabolic modules in human physiology, aiming to bridge current information gaps. In this regard, the molecular characterization of the role of histamine in the modulation of angiogenesis-mediated processes, such as cancer, makes a promising research field for future biomedical advances. The uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated negative emotions, especially among adolescents, who feel unable to tolerate the uncertainty of the epidemic. However, the mechanism by which the intolerance of COVID-19-related uncertainty (COVID-19 IU) affects negative emotions in adolescents remains unclear. This study explored the underlying mechanism from COVID-19 IU to negative emotions using a moderated mediation model in adolescents. In total, 3037 teenagers completed a cross-sectional survey including measures of COVID-19 IU, risk perception, social exclusion, perceived efficacy, and negative emotions. The results showed that COVID-19 IU positively predicted negative emotions and that risk perception and social exclusion mediated this relationship. In addition, both the direct effect of COVID-19 IU on negative emotions and the mediating effect of risk perception on this relationship were moderated by perceived efficacy; in particular, COVID-19 IU had a greater impact on negative emotions among adolescents with lower levels of perceived efficacy. These findings suggest that COVID-19 IU is closely associated with negative emotions among adolescents and that effective measures should be taken to enable adolescents to improve their perceived efficacy and develop a reasonable perception of risk, help them eliminate the stigma of the disease, and strengthen their connections with society.Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), an essential component for energy production that exhibits antioxidant activity, is considered a health-supporting and antiaging supplement. However, intervention-controlled studies have provided variable results on CoQ10 supplementation benefits, which may be attributed to individual CoQ10 bioavailability differences. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between genetic polymorphisms and CoQ10 serum levels after long-term supplementation. CoQ10 levels at baseline and after one year of supplementation (150 mg) were determined, and eight single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in cholesterol metabolism and CoQ10 absorption, efflux, and cellular uptake related genes were assessed. Rs2032582 (ABCB1) and rs1761667 (CD36) were significantly associated with a higher increase in CoQ10 levels in women. In addition, in women, rs3808607 (CYP7A1) and rs2072183 (NPC1L1) were significantly associated with a higher increase in CoQ10 per total cholesterol levels. Subgroup analyses showed that these four SNPs were useful for classifying high- or low-responder to CoQ10 bioavailability after long-term supplementation among women, but not in men. On the other hand, in men, no SNP was found to be significantly associated with increased serum CoQ10. These results collectively provide novel evidence on the relationship between genetics and CoQ10 bioavailability after long-term supplementation, which may help understand and assess CoQ10 supplementation effects, at least in women. The purpose of the study was to investigate whether Dual Energy CT (DECT) can be used as a diagnostic tool to assess the severity of acute pulmonary embolism (PE) by correlating parenchymal perfusion defect volume, obstruction score and right ventricular-to-left ventricular (RV/LV) diameter ratio using CT angiography (CTA) and DECT perfusion imaging. A total of 43 patients who underwent CTA and DECT perfusion imaging with clinical suspicion of acute PE were retrospectively included in the study. In total, 25 of these patients had acute PE findings on CTA. DECT assessed perfusion defect volume (PDvol) were automatically and semiautomatically quantified. Overall, two CTA methods for risk assessment in patients with acute PE were assessed the RV/LV diameter ratio and the Modified Miller obstruction score. Automatic PDvol had a weak correlation (r = 0.47, p = 0.02) and semiautomatic PDvol (r = 0.68, p less then 0.001) had a moderate correlation to obstruction score in patients with confirmed acute PE, while only semiautomatic PDvol (r = 0.43, p = 0.03) had a weak correlation with the RV/LV diameter ratio. Our data indicate that PDvol assessed by DECT software technique may be a helpful tool to assess the severity of acute PE when compared to obstruction score and RV/LV diameter ratio.Tumour-associated macrophages (TAMs) are ubiquitously present in tumours and commonly associated with poor prognosis. In immune cells, ascorbate affects epigenetic regulation, differentiation and phenotype via its co-factor activity for the 2-oxoglutarate dependent dioxygenase enzymes. Here, we determined the effect of ascorbate on TAM development in response to tumour microenvironmental cues. Naïve murine bone marrow monocytes were cultured with Lewis Lung Carcinoma conditioned media (LLCM) or macrophage colony-stimulating factor (MCSF) to encourage the development into tumour-associated macrophages. Cells were stimulated with hypoxia (1% O2), with or without ascorbate (500 µM) supplementation. Cells and media were harvested for gene, cell surface marker and protein analyses. LLCM supported bone marrow monocyte growth with >90% of cells staining CD11b+F4/80+, indicative of monocytes/macrophages. LLCM-grown cells showed increased expression of M2-like and TAM genes compared to MCSF-grown cells, which further increased with hypoxia. Veliparib purchase In LLCM-grown cells, ascorbate supplementation was associated with increased F4/80 cell surface expression, and altered gene expression and protein secretion. Our study shows that ascorbate modifies monocyte phenotype when grown under tumour microenvironmental conditions, but this was not clearly associated with either a pro- or anti-tumour phenotype, and reflects a complex and nuanced response of macrophages to ascorbate. Overall, ascorbate supplementation clearly has molecular consequences for TAMs, but functional and clinical consequences remain unknown.Binary offset carrier (BOC) modulation is a new modulation method that has been gradually applied to the Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS) in recent years. However, due to the multi-peaks in its auto-correlation function (ACF), it will incur a false lock and generate synchronization ambiguous potentially. In this paper, an unambiguous synchronization method based on a reconstructed correlation function is proposed to solve the ambiguity problem. First, through the shape code vector constructed in this paper, the general cross-correlation function (CCF) expression of the BOC modulated signal will be obtained. Based on the features of the signal correlation function, it is decomposed into a matrix form of trigonometric functions. Then, it generates two local signal waves using a specific method, then the proposed method is implemented to obtain a no-side-peak correlation function by reconstructing the cross-correlation between the received signal and the two local signals. Simulations showed that it fully eliminates the side-peak threat and significantly removes the ambiguity during the synchronization of the BOC signals. This paper also gives the improved structure of acquisition and tracking. The detailed theoretical deduction of detection probability and code tracking error is demonstrated, and the corresponding phase discrimination function is given. In terms of de-blurring ability and detection probability performance, the proposed method outperformed other conventional approaches. The tracking performance was superior to the comparison methods and the phase discrimination curve only had a zero-crossing, which successfully removed the false lock points. In addition, in multipath mitigation, it outperformed the ACF of the BOC signal, and performs as well as the autocorrelation side-peak cancellation technique (ASPeCT) for BOC(kn,n) signals.Precipitation has an important impact on people's daily life and disaster prevention and mitigation. However, it is difficult to provide more accurate results for rainfall nowcasting due to spin-up problems in numerical weather prediction models. Furthermore, existing rainfall nowcasting methods based on machine learning and deep learning cannot provide large-area rainfall nowcasting with high spatiotemporal resolution. This paper proposes a dual-input dual-encoder recurrent neural network, namely Rainfall Nowcasting Network (RN-Net), to solve this problem. It takes the past grid rainfall data interpolated by automatic weather stations and doppler radar mosaic data as input data, and then forecasts the grid rainfall data for the next 2 h. We conduct experiments on the Southeastern China dataset. With a threshold of 0.25 mm, the RN-Net's rainfall nowcasting threat scores have reached 0.523, 0.503, and 0.435 within 0.5 h, 1 h, and 2 h. Compared with the Weather Research and Forecasting model rainfall nowcasting, the threat scores have been increased by nearly four times, three times, and three times, respectively. The global prevalence of obesity is increasing. Obesity is associated with many chronic diseases and health conditions. This study aims to estimate the current prevalence of obesity in Saudi Arabia and described the current national-level status of the association between obesity and various health conditions. This study is a nationwide cross-sectional survey conducted over phone-interviews in June 2020. In this study, a proportional quota-sampling technique was used to obtain equal distributions of participants, stratified by age and gender, across the 13 regions of Saudi Arabia. Weight and height were self-reported, and the obesity was determined as BMI ≥ 30. Logistic regression adjusted for age and gender was used for exploring current associations between obesity and health conditions. Of the 6239 participants contacted, 4709 participants responded and completed the interview with a response rate of 75.48%. Of them, 50.1% were female, the mean age was 36.4 ± 13.5 (Range 18-90), and the median age was 36. The national weighted prevalence of obesity (BMI ≥ 30) was 24.
