Post-hoc analyses in a national context are important because of the differences in disease management across countries. Post-hoc safety and efficacy analyses in the PRECONNECT Italian patient subset were conducted. Patients' quality of life was assessed from baseline to end of treatment. In Italy, 161 patients were enrolled. The median age was 64 years, with a performance status of 0-1. The most common hematological drug-related adverse events ≥grade 3 were neutropenia (41.0%) and anemia (13.7%). The median progression-free survival was reached at 3.0 months, with a disease control rate of 28.6%. The Quality of Life Questionnaire Core 30 score improved in 25.4% of the patients. In this study, we used piggyBac transposon technology to produce transgenic silkworms expressing the hEGF protein fused to truncated heavy chain (FibH-hEGF). The FibH-hEGF fusion protein was successfully expressed and secreted into silkworm cocoons. Compared to wild-type silk, the transgenic silkworm silk had the similar morphology about silks fiber surface and cocoon nets, while the secondary structure between the transgenic silk and wild-type silk was different. The science of telemedicine has shown great advances over the past decade. However, the field needs to better understand if a change in care delivery from in-person to telehealth as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic will yield durable patient engagement and health outcomes for patients with obesity. The objective of this study was to examine the association of mode of healthcare utilization (telehealth versus in-person) and sociodemographic factors among patients with obesity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A retrospective medical chart review identified patients with obesity from a university outpatient obesity medicine clinic and a community bariatric surgery practice. Patients completed an online survey (1 June 2020-24 September 2020) to assess changes in healthcare utilization modality during subsequent changes in infection rates in the geographic area. B-mode ultrasonography was used to determine AAIMT before coronary angiography. EGFR inhibition Coronary artery disease severity was assessed with the SYNTAX score (SS). A history of hypertension, age, dyslipidemia, and higher AAIMT (odds ratio 2.570; 95%CI 1.831-3.608; P less then .001) were independent predictors of intermediate or high SS. An AAIMT less then 1.3 mm had a negative predictive value of 98% for the presence of intermediate or high SS and 83% for obstructive CAD.
