We report a case of breast cancer with clinically significant retinal toxicity induced by 7 years' Tamoxifen consumption in which patient's visual acuity and paraclinical findings remarkably improved after drug discontinuation. #link# A 49-year-old woman with a history of breast cancer and Tamoxifen consumption was referred to our clinic for evaluation and treatment of gradual and progressive decrease visual acuity of both eyes (more prominent in right eye). Funduscopy showed bilateral macular pigmentary changes, with diffused tiny yellow crystals and reduced macular tessellation. On spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), there was retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) abnormality and ellipsoid zone discontinuity accompanied by retinal thinning and choroidal thickness that was more prominent in the right eye. One year after discontinuation of the drug, visual acuity was significantly improved and SD-OCT revealed some surprising recoveries in the photoreceptor layers especially in her right eye.Autoimmune congenital atrioventricular block (CAVB) has been extensively studied in recent decades. The American Heart Association published guidelines for monitoring pregnant women with anti-Ro/Sjögren's syndrome antigen A (SSA) or anti-La/Sjögren's syndrome antigen B (SSB) autoantibodies, which are considered to increase the risk of CAVB. Information about the natural history of the disease in utero has contributed to the detection of fetuses with CAVB in the treatable stage. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) may be used to prevent CAVB. link2 The lack of large randomized control trials is a major drawback to fully confirm the benefits of fluorinated steroids such as dexamethasone. Although, when combined with a β-sympathomimetic agent, the outcome of administering a fluorinated steroid in complete CAVB is still controversial. Novel treatments targeting the immunological process might prevent the recurrence of CAVB in pregnant women with previously affected children.
Condoms are playing a central role in the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, human immune virus, and unintended pregnancy particularly among young peoples. Therefore, this study aimed to assess factors associated with condom use self-efficacy among preparatory school youths in Sodo town, Ethiopia.

This institution-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 424 study participants from January 25 to February 20, 2020. Raltitrexed molecular weight were collected using a validated pretested structured questionnaire. Descriptive analysis was done and results were presented in texts and tables. Those variables at bivariate analysis with p-value <0.2 at 95% confidence level were moved to a multivariate logistic regression model to control potential confounding variables. Odds ratio with 95% confidence interval was computed to ascertain association during multivariate analysis model. Statistical tests at P-value <0.05 were considered as cutoff point to determine statistical significance.

Out of a total of 424 yoo be significantly associated with condom use self-efficacy. These results suggest ways to increase self-efficacy for condom use among youth that can increase the effectiveness of future interventions for youth.
Human immuno-deficiency virus (HIV) counseling affirms that people exercise the right to know their HIV status, which opens the gateway to care, treatment, and support for a person in need. HIV counseling and testing uptake among sexually active males in Ethiopia is too low. Moreover, existing studies were not done at country level and the contributing factors were not well studied. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the status of uptake and identify its correlates using the 2016 Ethiopia Demographic and Health Survey.

Data on 12,688 participants were utilized in this study. Descriptive statistics and multilevel logistic regression were used to summarize the data and investigate the associations between predictors and HIV counseling and testing uptake.

The overall HIV voluntary counseling and testing uptake among sexually active men in Ethiopia was 45.69%; 95% CI [43.08%, 48.33%]. About 13% of the variation in the likelihood of being tested for HIV was due to the variation among the regionthe regions, which might hamper the ambitious plan of Ethiopia to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. Therefore, giving due consideration to scale up HIV knowledge to avoid risky sexual behavior, improving access to health insurance and media, and working on the significant modifiable sociodemographic determinants are worthy to boost HIV voluntary counselling and testing uptake, which is an integral component of the strategies to efficiently prevent and control HIV.
Anemia is an independent prognostic marker of HIV/AIDS disease progression. It causes impaired physical functioning, psychological distress, poor quality-of-life, and reduces life expectancy in HIV patients. However, there is limited information in Ethiopia. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the magnitude of anemia and associated factors among adult HIV patients on antiretroviral therapy in public health facilities of Kembata Tembaro Zone, southern Ethiopia.

We conducted a facility-based cross-sectional study. A total of 401 HIV patients attending antiretroviral therapy nested in five health facilities were included in the analysis. Simple random sampling was employed using medical record number to select study units. Data were collected using pretested and structured questionnaire, anthropometric measurements were taken, and a drop of capillary blood was collected to determine hemoglobin level by HemoCue 301 analyzer. Clinical related data were collected from patient medical records by using WHO stage III or IV disease is vital to reduce the magnitude of anemia and its consequences.
Anemia was found to be a moderate public health problem among ART attendants in the current study area. Thus, early detection and intervention targeting Zidovudine users, females, patients having body mass index less then 18.5 Kg/m2, patients having opportunistic infections, and patients having clinical WHO stage III or IV disease is vital to reduce the magnitude of anemia and its consequences.
Antibiotic resistance has become one of the major global health threats. The lack of knowledge on antibiotics contributes to the indiscriminate use of these medications and subsequent antibiotic resistance.

To evaluate the knowledge and attitude of university students regarding antibiotics.

A cross-sectional study was conducted on university students at a private university in Malaysia in 2018, using a self-administered validated questionnaire.

Of the 424 respondents included in this study, 25.7% had taken antibiotics in the previous month while 22.6% had good knowledge about antibiotics. The faculty to which the respondents were attached was the only determinant associated with the respondents' knowledge level on antibiotics. The odds of respondents from other faculties having poor knowledge level on antibiotics were significantly higher than those from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (
<0.001). The study found that 77.8% of the respondents knew the roles of antibiotics in treating bace the future leaders of the country.
The widespread dissemination of unhealthy dietary habits, childhood-teenage obesity, and sedentary lifestyle in young adults has paved the way for public health burden metabolic syndrome and early onset of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence and risk factors for metabolic syndrome and diabetes among young adult students.

This cross-sectional study was conducted among students of age group (18 to 25 years) studying at Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Sciences and Central Institute of Science and Technology. The diabetes risk score of each individual was calculated by the Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC tool). Independent risk factors for diabetes and metabolic syndrome were measured by multivariable logistic regression analysis. The p-value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant in this study.

A total of 825 students were recruited and 739 (89.6%) students completed the study with all the fulfilled criteria. The metabolic syndrome (Harmonirisk to develop diabetes in the near future. link3 Early assessment of metabolic syndrome and diabetes risk in young may provide insights for preventive and control plans for risk population.
This research aimed to investigate the differences in the sealing capability of propolis extracts and Ca(OH)
on dentin surfaces.

Eighteen mandible incisors of Wistar rats were prepared at a depth of 0.5 mm after which they were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=6) including control (C), pulp-capped with Ca(OH)
group (P1), and indirect pulp-capped with propolis extract group (P2). All the cavities were sealed with glass ionomer restorative cement. Moreover, the sections of the teeth were obtained after six Wistar Rats from each group were sacrificed on the second day after treatment. The rats' incisors were cleaved transversally to the area where Ca(OH)
and propolis extract bonded with dentin for the SEM (scanning electron microscope) analysis and examined using microphotographs test with 5000x magnification. All the samples were measured and examined with spectrophotometry test to determine the bonding distance between Ca(OH)
and dentin, as well as propolis extract and dentin. The result from the two tests was analyzed with SPSS using an independent
-test at p <0.05.

There were significant differences between the calcium hydroxide and propolis extract groups (p<0.05) based on the results obtained in the form of spectrums chemical functional groups of spectrophotometry examination. No new chemical bonding or compound was also observed to have been formed between propolis extract with dentin as well as calcium hydroxide with dentin.

The adaptation or sealing capability of propolis extract was found to be better than calcium hydroxide to the dentin surface.
The adaptation or sealing capability of propolis extract was found to be better than calcium hydroxide to the dentin surface. In perinatal epidemiology, fetal deaths occur over the first timeline, from conception to birth or fetal death. Majority of other epidemiological research on human diseases focus on the second timeline, from birth to death. The transition from the first to the second timeline is not a fixed duration of time and it depends on when birth occurs. We discussed the complications when switching from the first to the second timeline in epidemiological studies of early life exposures, pregnancy events, and future health outcomes. Population-based studies often lack accurate data on the date of conception for most pregnancies and the complete count of fetal death, leading to chances for selection and misclassification biases. To address these problems, better research data and methodological advancement in study designs and biases evaluations are needed.
We investigate factors that may contribute individually to bladder recurrence and find out the potential candidate to receive postoperative single dose intravesical chemotherapy.

A total of 217 patients who were diagnosed with upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) underwent radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) between 2012 and 2016 in a single hospital. The possible risk factors that may contribute to development of bladder recurrence and overall survival were analysed. In order to find out the relationship between 1st bladder recurrence timing and outcome, we divided the 54 of 56 patients (2 patients with prophylactic intravesical chemotherapy excluded) with bladder recurrence after RNU into 2 groups, using the median time of 1st bladder recurrence and confirmed with the "minimum P-value" approach. The primary endpoint was the development of relapsing high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). The predictive factors of early recurrence and prognostic factors of survival were also analysed.

Among 217 patients with UTUC under RNU, intravesical recurrence occurred in 56 (25.
