of complications, such as anterior knee pain, kneeling pain, and extension loss, but an increased incidence of graft failure. Patients should be informed of the differences when deciding on graft choice with their physician.
Postprandial distress syndrome (PDS), characterized by the presence of prevalently meal-related early satiation and fullness, is a highly prevalent condition with major socioeconomic and healthcare impact. To date, there is a lack of pharmacological treatment proven value for PDS. Therefore, an ideal strategy to relieve PDS is urgently needed. In recent years, massage therapy has been increasingly accepted by PDS patients due to its lower costs, fewer unwanted side effects and safety for clinical use. In this systematic review, we aim to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of massage therapy for patients with postprandial distress syndrome.

We will search the following electronic databases for randomized controlled trials to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of massage therapy in treating postprandial distress syndrome Wanfang and Pubmed Database, CNKI, CENTRAL, CINAHL, and EMBASE. Each database will be searched from inception to October 2020. The entire process will include study selection, data extraction, risk of bias assessment, and meta-analyses.

This proposed study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of massage therapy for patients with postprandial distress syndrome. The outcomes will include changes in PDS relief and adverse effect.

This proposed systematic review will evaluate the existing evidence on the effectiveness and safety of massage therapy for patients with postprandial distress syndrome.

The results of this review will be disseminated through peer-reviewed publication. Because all of the data used in this systematic review and meta-analysis has been published, this review does not require ethical approval. Furthermore, all data will be analyzed anonymously during the review process.

DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/9WRX8.This study examines the rate and the influencing factors of glycemic control among adult residents living with DM in Mkhondo Municipality of South Africa. In this cross-sectional study, 157 individuals attending care for DM were recruited. Glycemic control status was categorized as poor if glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) > 7% and very poor if HbA1c ≥ 9%. Multivariate regression analysis was used to identify the significant determinants of poor and very poor glycemic control. The majority of the study participants were females (84.71%) and above 45 years old (88.55%). The overall prevalence of poor glycemic control was 77.71% (n = 122), while very poor glycemic control occurred in 50.6% (n = 80) of the study cohort. In the multivariate logistic regression model analysis, African traditional [AOR = 0.15; 95% confidence interval (95% CI) 0.04-0.57], fast food consumption (AOR = 5.89; 95% CI 2.09-16.81), elevated total cholesterol (TC) [odds ratio (OR) = 2.33; 95% CI 1.50-5.17], elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (AOR = 5.28; 95% CI 1.89-14.69), and triglyceride (TG) (AOR = 4.39; 95% CI 1.48-13.00) were the independent and significant determinants of poor glycemic control. Age (AOR = 0.46; 95% CI 0.23-0.92) was the only independent and significant determinant of very poor glycemic control. We found a high rate of poor glycemic control (77.71%) possibly attributed to religious affiliation, fast food consumption, and dyslipidemia. On the contrary, about half of the study sample had very poor glycemic control (HbA1c ≥9%), which was predominant among younger cohort with diabetes mellitus. Interventions aimed at improving glycemic control in this population must also target religious practice, dietary patterns and dyslipidemia as well as tailored-approach for young people.
Chinese herbal medicine is a commonly used traditional treatment for ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Among them, Yanghe decoction (YHD) has an obvious effect in relieving the symptoms of AS, but its efficacy is still controversial. The purpose of this study is to systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of YHD in the treatment of AS patients.

From the establishment to September 2020, we will search a total of 7 electronic databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, VIP, WanFang, and the Chinese SinoMed Database. Two independent reviewers will search the database for relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs), extract data, and evaluate the quality of the included RCTs. Data analysis will be processed by RevMan V.5.4 software.

The results of this systematic review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

This study will provide evidence for the effectiveness of YHD in treating patients with AS.

As a traditional Chinese medicine external treatment method, acupuncture is characterized by simple operation, significant treatment effect and few side effects. Tong-Xie-Yao-Fang (TXYF), a Chinese patent medicine, combined with acupuncture has been widely used on treating Diarrhea Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS-D). Ulonivirine research buy However, the efficacy and safety of TXYF combined with acupuncture for the treatment of IBS-D are unclear. This study aims to investigate verify the efficacy and safety of TXYF combined with acupuncture for IBS-D.

Randomized controlled trials of TXYF combined with acupuncture for all IBS-D will be searched in PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database, and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database from inception to October 20, 2020. And Baidu Scholar, Google Scholar, International Clinical Trials Registry Platform, and Chinese Clinical Trials Registry will be seaes.
Radiocarpal fracture-dislocations are extremely infrequent injuries caused by high-energy trauma and involve significant osseous and ligamentous injuries. If not treated properly, it can lead to serious complications such as ulnar translation of the carpus, multidirectional instability, loss of motion, and post-traumatic arthritis. Purely ligamentous injuries are rarer than fracture-dislocation injuries. Because previous studies have reported small patient cohorts, there has been no standardized treatment strategy for purely ligamentous radiocarpal dislocation.

A 24-year-old man suffered a left wrist injury in a motorcycle accident. Plain radiographs revealed dorso-ulnar radiocarpal dislocation without radial fracture and Carpal-ulnar distance ratio (CUDR) was 0.16. MRI scans showed the disruption of the dorsal ligaments and capsules and avulsed from the proximal insertion of the volar radiocarpal ligaments.

Dorsoulnar radiocarpal dislocation with purely ligamentous injury.

We removed the interposing chondral fragment from the radiocarpal joint and repaired the radioscaphocapitate (RSC) and radiolunate (RL) ligaments with the Jugger Knot Soft Anchor Suture (Biomet, Inc, Warsaw, IN) and applied additional radiocarpal K-wires and an external fixator to maintain reduction and optimal ligament tension.
