A system administrator (sysadmin) is a professional who:
Supports multiuser computing environments and ensures the smooth operation of IT services.
Identifies network issues, fixes them, identifies cyber security threats, and devises ways to prevent intrusions.
Sets up and maintains technology systems, including complex IT tasks such as configuration management, access control, security, troubleshooting, and user education2.
Manages Windows, Linux, or Mac systems, upgrades and installs application software and hardware, troubleshoots technical issues, creates and manages system permissions and user accounts, performs security tests, and maintains networks.
Tracks network traffic, installs software updates, and performs database backups to protect user information.
Monitors and updates a company's internal computer system, and trains other employees on its proper use.

A database administrator (DBA) is responsible for managing and maintaining software databases. Their tasks include:
Ensuring data security
Overseeing database updates
Configuring and designing database models
Resolving issues related to database accessibility and performance
Informing end users about changes in the databases and training them to use the systems

A database designer is responsible for designing, developing, executing and maintaining a company's data management systems12. They use various tools like VBA, Microsoft SQL server, and Oracle GUI to design and develop databases. Other responsibilities include:
Forming relationships between various elements of data and giving it a logical structure
Optimizing and maintaining legacy systems
Modifying databases according to requests and performing tests
Solving database usage issues and malfunctions
Liaising with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
Gathering user requirements and identifying new features

A systems analyst is responsible for:
Managing and enhancing computer systems for organizations or clients.
Reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of a company's current IT system.
Identifying areas of improvement and designing new solutions.
Facilitating communication between business and IT departments.
Providing documentation and user training for system upgrades.

A computer programmer:
Writes code to help software applications operate more efficiently.
Designs and updates software solutions.
Analyzes user needs and makes updates to existing software.
Develops new software applications.
Troubleshoots issues with programs.
Collaborates with product, design, and marketing teams.

End users are basically those people whose jobs require access to the database for querying, updating, and generating reports. The database primarily exists for their use.
