Serum ketone bodies concentrations increase following consumption of BOV-drink.
The use of bovine milk fat in IF does neither affect postprandial energy metabolism nor lipemic response in healthy adults, but alters postprandial FA profiles and ketone metabolism. Whether the exact same effects occur in infants requires experimental verification.

Micro-blogging services empower health institutions to quickly disseminate health information to many users. By analysing user data, infodemiology (i.e. improving public health using user contributed health related content) can be measured in terms of information diffusion.
Tweets by the WHO were examined in order to identify tweet attributes that lead to a high information diffusion rate using Twitter data collected between November 2019 and January 2020.
One thousand hundred and seventy-seven tweets were collected using Python's Tweepy library. Afterwards, k-means clustering and manual coding were used to classify tweets by theme, sentiment, length and count of emojis, pictures, videos and links. Resulting groups with different characteristics were analysed for significant differences using Mann-Whitney U- and Kruskal-Wallis H-tests.
The topic of the tweet, the included links, emojis and (one) picture as well as the tweet length significantly affected the tweets' diffusion, whereas sentiment and videos did not show any significant influence on the diffusion of tweets.
The findings of this study give insights on why specific health topics might generate less attention and do not showcase sufficient information diffusion.
The subject and appearance of a tweet influence its diffusion, making the design equally essential to the preparation of its content.

Antibiotic resistance became a risk in the 1950s, but a concerted global effort to manage it did not begin until after 2000. Widespread herbicide use began during the 1950s and was soon followed by an unabated rise in resistance. Here, we examine what lessons for combatting herbicide resistance could be learnt from the global, coordinated efforts of all stakeholders to avert the antibiotic resistance crisis. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry. The local building requirements to secure medical equipment in seismically active areas in the United States are based on recommendations of the American Society of Civil Engineers. In our institution we have recently acquired new linear accelerators, one of which had to be installed in an existing vault and one in a new vault. Since we are in a seismic active area, changes in the local code required us to start placing the new linacs seismically stable. Here, we describe the necessary steps taken to ensure a seismically sound installation of our linacs. For the linac installation to be seismically stable, the linac base frame has to be seismically fixed into the vault floor. The installation of a new linac into an existing vault requires verification of a structurally sound base frame. Knowledge of the previously applied fixation of such is needed and exploratory removal of grouted floor helped in the verification. Understanding the additional load requirements for the locality allows to account for the existing fixation and can potentially reduce the work needed to achieve seismic fixation requirements. For a prospective seismic installation the new linac base frame can be directly installed with the necessary strength. In addition the actual workflow is straight forward and vendor recommendations can be used. In both cases the vendor provided seismic calculations serve as baseline from which a facility should be work from. It is the facilities task to verify the correct installation of a linac in their specific location. An understanding of the seismic landscape can facilitate an appropriate installation at minimal additional cost.
Discussing patient preferences for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is routine in hospital admission for older people. The way the conversation is conducted plays an important role for patient comprehension and the ethics of decision making.
The objective was to examine how CPR is explained in geriatric rehabilitation hospital admission interviews, focussing on circumstances in which physicians explain CPR and the content of these explanations.
We recorded forty-three physician-patient admission interviews taking place in a hospital in French-speaking Switzerland, during which CPR was discussed. Data were analysed in French with thematic and conversation analysis, and the extracts used for publication were translated into English.
Mean patient age was 83.7years; 53.5% were admitted for rehabilitation after surgery or traumatism. CPR was explained in 53.8% of the conversations. Most explanations were brief and concerned the technical procedures, mentioning only rarely potential outcome. With one exception, medical indication and prognosis of CPR did not feature in these explanations. Explanations occurred either before the patient's answer (as part of the question about CPR preferences) or after the patient's answer, generated by patients' indecision, misunderstanding and by the need to clarify answers.
The scarcity and simplicity of CPR explanations highlight a reluctance to have in-depth discussions and reflect the assumption that CPR does not need explaining. Providing patients with accurate information about the outcomes and risks of CPR is incremental for reaching informed decisions and patient-centred care.

Their structures were confirmed by means of comprehensive spectroscopic data analysis and comparison with the reported data. All isolates significantly inhibited Con A-stimulated mice splenocytes proliferation at 10-40 μM in a dose-dependent manner in vitro. Especially, compound 3 exhibited potent activities comparable to positive control (Dexamethasone, DXM).The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR) technology has been widely applied for nucleic acid detection because of its high specificity. By using the highly specific and irreversible bond between HaloTag and its alkane chlorine ligand, we modified dCas9 (deactivated CRISPR/Cas9) with biotin as a biosensor to detect nucleic acids. The CRISPR biosensor was facilely prepared to adequately maintain its DNA-recognition capability. Furthermore, by coupling biolayer interferometry (BLI) with the CRISPR biosensor, a real-time, sensitive, and rapid digital system called CRISPR-BLI was established for the detection of double-stranded DNA. The CRISPR biosensor immobilised on the biolayer could recruit the target DNA onto the biosensor surface and change its optical thickness, resulting in a shift in the interference pattern and responding signal of the BLI. The CRISPR-BLI system was further applied to detect the ALP gene of Escherichia coli DH5α combined with a polymerase chain reaction, which demonstrated a linear range from 20 to 20 000 pg and a low detection limit (1.34 pg). The CRISPR-BLI system is a promising approach for rapid and sensitive detection of target DNA analytes.
The effective deposition of pesticide droplets on the target leaf surface is critical for improving the utilization of pesticides. We proposed a new way to enhance the droplet deposition on the target leaf surface by changing the properties of pesticide formulation, and this formulation can be sprayed directly or at a low dilution. In addition, it is a simple method to select a suitable concentration and formulation by evaluating the interfacial dilational rheological properties of pesticide droplets.
The wetting behavior of two types of pesticide formulations prepared by oil-based solvent on the rice leaf surface was investigated based on the surface free energy, surface tension, contact angle, adhesion tension, and adhesion work. The interfacial dilational rheological properties of different pesticide solutions were measured as a function of concentration. This study clearly demonstrates the fact that water-in-oil emulsion has a better wettability than oil-in-water emulsion, especially with the increasephobic leaf surfaces by screening formulations and concentrations. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry.
Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are common occupational injuries for nurses. Furthermore, rotating and irregular shift work may exacerbate muscle tension and pain in nurses. The objective of this study was to examine the differences between fixed day shift (FDS) nurses and rotating and irregular shift (RS+IS) nurses in WMSDs using a systematic literature review and meta-analysis.
Databases including PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, EBSCOhost, and Google Scholar were searched for relevant studies published between 2010 and 2020 using the target keywords.
This study obtained data on a total of 18199 nurses, among which 12786 comprised the RS+IS group and 5413 constituted the FDS group. The result of the heterogeneity test was Q=79.27 (P<.001) and I squared=57.11%, indicating that heterogeneity existed among the studies. Subgroup analyses were also conducted with four groups neck pain (n=1818), shoulder and upper limb pain (n=2525), back pain (n=11962), and hip and lower limb pain (n=1894). Significant differences were found between the RS+IS group and the FDS group with regard to back pain, with the forest plot presenting an odds ratio equaling 1.40 (95% CI 1.19-1.64, P<.001).
This meta-analysis indicated that RS+IS nurses are more likely to experience back pain associated with WMSD than are FDS nurses. The results can serve as a reference to the clinical management for work improvement and thereby reduce or prevent the adverse effects of rotating and irregular shift work on back pain experienced by nurses.

Cytotoxicity was evaluated after inoculation of test irrigants in the lymphocyte primary culture for 3 min. The tested substances were distilled water(DW); 17% EDTA; QMix; 10% GA; 17% GA; and 25% GA. Counting of total, live and dead cells was performed, obtaining the average percentage of dead cells of each group. For microhardness evaluation, 60 root dentin samples were divided into the same tested groups (n = 10) and immersed in test irrigants for 3 min. Dentin microhardness was evaluated by Vicker test. Specific statistical analysis was made in both tests. Results showed significant lower cytotoxicity for QMix and 10% GA (P 0.05). In conclusion, lower GA concentration can be an alternative for final irrigation on endodontics.
