[Learning to be expanded health-related narcotics prescribing strategies along with Covid-19].
To characterize the study population, estimating the in-hospital lethality rate by state and analysing associated factors with COVID-19-related deaths.

A retrospective cohort study was carried out of hospitalised children and adolescents diagnosed with COVID-19, confirmed by RT-PCR, whose outcome was death by COVID-19 or recovery, from 2020 March 1 to August 1. The data source was the Influenza Epidemiological Surveillance Information System (SIVEP-Gripe in Brazilian acronym), where patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) are notified. Children were defined as those between the ages of 0 and 11, and adolescents those between 12 and 18. A bi and multivariate analysis were performed using Poisson Regression with robust variance, with adjusted Relative Risk as the final association measure.

A total of 4,930 cases were analysed; 2,553 (51.8%) were males, 2,335 (47.4%) were brown-skinned. The Federative Unit of Roraima presented the highest in-hospital case-fatality rate, with 68.8% (11/16). Multivariate analysis showed that belonging to the age group adolescent (RR = 1.59; 95%CI 1.12 - 2.25; p = 0.009), SARS-critical patient (RR = 4.56; 95%CI 2, 77 - 7.51; p < 0.001) and presenting immunological disorders (RR = 2.24; 95%CI 1.58 - 3.17; p < 0.001) as comorbidities were statistically associated factors with death by COVID-19.

It was observed that adolescents, SARS-critical patients, and presence of immunological disorders were important factors associated with death. Active surveillance and differentiated care are recommended for patients with chronic diseases and special immunological conditions.

although preservation of bowel continuity is a major goal in rectal cancer surgery, a colorectal anastomosis may be considered an unacceptably high-risk procedure, particularly for patients with multiple comorbidities. We aimed to assess rates of surgical complications in rectal cancer patients according to the type of procedure they had undergone.

this cohort included all rectal cancer patients undergoing elective resection at a referral academic hospital over 16 years. There were three study groups according to the type of performed operation (1) rectal resection with anastomosis without defunctioning stoma (DS); (2) rectal resection with anastomosis and DS; and (3) Hartmann's procedure (HP). Postoperative complications and clinical outcomes were assessed.

four-hundred and two patients were studied. The 118 patients in group 3 were significantly older (>10 years), had higher Charlson Comorbidity Index scores, and more ASA class ≥3 than patients in the other two groups. RRx-001 Sixty-seven patients (16.7%) had Clavien-Dindo complications grade ≥ III, corresponding to an incidence of 11.8%, 20.9%, and 14.4% in groups 1, 2, and 3, respectively (p=0.10). Twenty-nine patients (7.2%) had major septic complications that required reoperation, with an incidence of 10.8%, 8.2% and 2.5% in groups 1, 2 and 3, respectively (p=0.048). Twenty-one percent of the group 2 patients did not undergo the stoma closure after a 24-month follow-up.

HP was associated with a lower incidence of reoperation due to intra-abdominal septic complications. This procedure remains an option for patients in whom serious surgical complications are anticipated.

to understand the perceptions of hope for people with depression in the context of a therapy group.

using a qualitative case study approach, a semi-structured in-depth interview and a self-report questionnaire were conducted with seven women with depression integrated in a therapy group at a Portuguese day-care psychiatric unit. Data collection and analysis used triangulation of sources.

the participants evidenced hope founded on the positive experiences of the past with a strong affiliation component. Hope management is done fundamentally through the interpersonal relationships established between the members of the group, based on communicational patterns that are established on a regular basis, mediated by the group therapist.

the therapy group functioned towards the reinforcement of hope in people who experience depression, and it works as a motivation to manage the implications of illness in the participants' life and health project.

To analyze the theoretical-practical articulation of the continuous learning of leadership in undergraduate Nursing.

Case study carried out at a Northeast federal public university. For data collection, semi-structured interview techniques, workshops, and document analysis were applied. Forty Nursing students participated in the interviews, and 26 in the workshops. The data were submitted to Minayo's operative analysis using the Nvivo software. Peter Senge's concepts were adopted.

The students demonstrated a greater understanding of the theme throughout the course and recognized contributing elements to the continuous learning of leadership, such as behavioral characteristics and the use of methodological approaches integrated with theoretical and practical spaces.

The teaching of leadership is relevant in Nursing education, and this has been recognized by students, but still requires changes for it to become operational, with an improvement and a theoretical-practical integration of the cultivated experiences, suitable to the reality of the craft.

to identify the perceptions of teamwork according to professionals of an oncohematology unit.

this is an exploratory study/qualitative approach. Nineteen health professionals from the oncohematology unit of a public teaching hospital participated. Data collection took place through semi-structured interviews, from September to December 2018. Data analysis followed Content Analysis, thematic modality, and the work process theoretical framework.

two categories emerged Cooperative behavior of professionals from an oncohematology unit, revealing meanings of teamwork and its facilitating/hindering factors in the unit, and Composition, characteristics and management of the unit, presenting teamwork in the perspective of organization/dynamics of work at the unit, material instruments, qualification/training, team composition and organizational management.

to outline the profile and understand the expectations and needs of family members who seek compulsory hospitalization for drug-using members.

Mixed research; data collected involving 101 medical records and semi-structured interviews with 26 family members. SPSS software and content analysis was used.

The sample was characterized predominantly by women. Most users had other treatment modalities. Significant associations were observed between the request for hospitalization, the presence of aggressiveness, and other behaviors typical of harmful drug use for requesting compulsory hospitalization. The categories were The difficult coexistence with the user; the journey of family members to "bring the user back to life"; Expectations and needs regarding compulsory hospitalization.

The study provided a broader view of the complexity and inter-subjectivities of family systems in the face of the drug cycle, promoting discussions and strategies for multidisciplinary services in the comprehensive care of these families.

To characterize the points and counterpoints in the development of interdisciplinarity in the nursing technical training.

This is an exploratory-descriptive study with a qualitative approach conducted through interviews with 30 teachers and coordinators of nursing technical courses from 12 different regions of the state of São Paulo. Data analysis was performed through theme-based content analysis.

Regarding the theme of institutional orientation, it was found that, although there are initiatives to promote interdisciplinarity, since there is teacher training and definition of goals for articulation with other courses and for the joint work among the teachers of the disciplines, these are still vague and ineffective. As for the theme, the implementation of interdisciplinarity by the teachers, it is observed that they seek different forms of integration, but they come across the curricular structure, the form of teacher hiring, and the resistance to changes. With respect to the comprehension of the concept, relevant aspects of its meaning are recognized; however, they admit the existence of limits.

The institution defines a trajectory aiming at interdisciplinarity, the teachers try to follow the path for its implementation; however, they find structural obstacles, little comprehension of the concept, and resistance to changes. It appears that efforts are needed to advance the curricular implementation with the logics of interdisciplinarity.

The new coronavirus of 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has spread globally and has repercussions within ophthalmological care. It has caused ocular manifestations in some patients, which can spread through eye secretions.

The purpose of this review was to summarize the currently available evidence on COVID-19 with regard to its implications for ophthalmology.

Narrative review developed by a research group at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), São Paulo (SP), Brazil, and at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, Germany.

We searched the literature on the repercussions of COVID-19 within ophthalmological care, using the MEDLINE and LILACS databases, with the keywords "COVID-19", "ophthalmology" and "coronavirus", from January 1, 2020, to March 27, 2021. Clinical trials, meta-analysis, randomized controlled trials, reviews and systematic reviews were identified.

We retrieved 884 references, of which 42 were considered eligible for intensive review and critical analysis.
