Methods/design This study protocol is a two-arm, parallel, pilot randomized controlled trial. Forty DH patients will be randomly allocated to two groups. Participants in the intervention group will be treated with CAREDYNE Shield, while those in the control group w020 (Hanke, Am Dent Assoc 271379-1393, 1940).Background The differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) into osteoblasts (OBs) is a prerequisite for bone formation. However, little is known about the definitive surface markers for OBs during osteogenesis. Methods To study the surface markers on OBs, we generated and used monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) against surface molecules on transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)-treated cancer cells. The generated MAbs were further selected toward expression changes on hMSCs cultured with TGF-β1/bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) or osteogenic differentiation medium (ODM) by flow cytometry. Immunoprecipitation and mass spectrometry were performed to identify target antigens of selected MAbs. Expression changes of the target antigens were evaluated in hMSCs, human periodontal ligament cells (hPDLCs), and human dental pulp cells (hDPCs) during osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and flow cytometry. hMSCs were also sorted by the MAbs using magnetic-acd even in integrin αV-low hMSCs. Conclusion These findings suggest that integrin α3 and αV induction is a good indicator of OB differentiation. The primary outcome was psychological burnout, measured by the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (i.e., personal burnout, work-related burnout, and patient-related burnout). The objective of this study was to propose a sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit transition detection algorithm that works independently of the sensor location. Methods For a location-independent algorithm, the vertical acceleration of the lower back in the global frame was used to detect the postural transitions in daily activities. The detection performance of the algorithm was validated against video observations. To investigate the effect of the location on the kinematic parameters, these parameters were extracted during a five-time sit-to-stand test and were compared for different locations of the sensor on the trunk and lower back. Results The proposed detection method demonstrates high accuracy in different populations with a mean positive predictive value (and mean sensitivity) of 98% (95%) for healthy individuals and 89% (89%) for participants with diseases. Two reviewers found 957 publications and identified 17 for inclusion. Results All 17 studies demonstrated a relationship between bullying and depression. Nine examined variables unique to Latinxs. Conclusions Studies that included variables unique to Latinxs found a stronger relationship between bullying and depression. Inclusive measures and design are key to understanding and reducing the consequences of bullying in this population.Background According to the UK's Office for National Statistics, England and Wales reported a 2.9% increase in sexual aggression cases (3.4 million females and 631,000 males) between 2009 and 2019. In Scotland, sexual aggression cases increased by 66%, with 40% of these sexual violations being perpetrated on individuals under the age of 18 years, while incidents relating to sexual misconduct in Northern Ireland increased by 21.0%, with only 41.2% of those cases being prosecuted. Acts of sexual aggression can have physical, emotional and mental consequences which predispose young people to subsequent short- and long-term mental and social disorders and comorbidities.
