Double Stroller With Car Seat Compatability
Parents of twins or other multiples might require a double stroller that can accommodate two car seats for infants simultaneously. The TwinRoo+ is an easy-to-use frame stroller that can hold 23 different car seat models.
It also features a huge storage basket, cup holders for parents and reversible seating with best-in-class legroom between the two seats.
The Baby Trend(r) Universal Double Snap-N-Go(r)
The Baby Trend(r) Universal Double Snap-N-Go(r) is a great stroller that will fit the majority of infant car seat carriers. It has a large basket for storage as well as a tray for parents with two cup holders. The stroller is lightweight and folds easily for storage or transport. It is one of our most maneuverable strollers and is a great side-by-side design. It didn't perform well in our jog tests, and was unable to handle more steeper curbs. The front wheels with swivels have trouble with catching on obstacles.
This stroller is compatible with all major brands of infant car seats, and adapters are simple to install. The stroller can only fit one infant car seat at a time and parents with twins will need to choose a different option to use their infant carseats simultaneously. The UPPAbaby Vista v2 Double and Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double are top-rated options that work with two infant car seats at the same time.
While the Baby Trend is easy to use and comes with a nice basket, it falls short of our ride comfort metric. The stroller does not have shocks that can absorb road vibrations and bumps which can be a challenge for little passengers. Also the lack of a reclined seat means children will feel every bump in the road. This may not be a problem as passengers age but it is something to consider when your children are still infants or toddlers.
This frame stroller weighs under 40 lbs. It feels heavy with passengers and cargo. The absence of a jog lock makes it hard to jog, and it had a hard time in navigating gravel, grass and sidewalks in our tests. The BOB Revolution Flex is a better option for jogging, and it weighs less at around 41 lbs. It is still a little difficult to lift, however there is a handle that could be used for this purpose. The jog-strollers feature larger wheels that provide better performance off-road. They also have a better built chassis and are constructed of durable materials that are able to be used for a long time.
The Contours(r), Options Elite V2 double stroller
The Contours(r) Options Elite V2 has all the features that parents are raving about: reversible seating, one-hand reclining, adjustable leg rests, zippered extensions to both canopies and a parent cupholder. It also has some great new features, such as the height-adjustable handle and quilted seat. It also comes with seven different seating configurations, including the hard-to-find double rear facing position, allowing kids to look at each one another while keeping an eye on mom and dad.
One of the best things about this stroller is that it's compatible with multiple infant car seat brands, which gives families a variety of choices and keeps them from being locked into one brand when it comes to strollers that are compatible with baby car seats. The Options Elite can be used with Graco and Britax infant car seats with an adapter universal to all brands, and it also accepts the UPPAbaby Mesa and Baby Jogger City Select double car seats. It also has an additional adapter to accommodate those who have twins, or wish to use two infant car seats.
It's not a stroller that is side-by-side, so it has the feel of one stroller and is able to be used in all aisles and doorways with ease. While it's not as movable as a jogging-style stroller, it's still a great option for road trips and shopping excursions. It's heavier than other double strollers but not too heavy to carry.
The seats are comfy for children, and the storage basket is large enough. The canopy is also big and can be opened to provide more sun protection. It's not a lot of storage space for parents' needs, which could be a problem for certain families.
This stroller has a foot brake and a safety harness. It also comes with five-point harnesses for every child. The front wheels can be locked to provide stability and the handles are ergonomically designed. It folds up in a simple process and can be repositioned when folded. While it's not a one-hand fold, like some of the other top strollers, it's not difficult to do with a little practice and it's faster than other tandem models.
The Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double
The Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double is a great budget-friendly favorite that will grow with your family. It offers car seat compatibility and reversible seating within a sleek modern stroller frame. This stroller has easy-to-use everyday features and a convenient one-handed fold, with a self-stand which is impressive for a model that is priced lower. It does have a slightly heftier feel than much of the competition and smaller wheels that have difficulty with pushing off-road or in tight corners and narrow doors.
This stroller can be used with two infant car seats or toddler seats (sold separately) No adapters are needed. Adding a second seat expands the frame of the stroller in just a few minutes without the need for tools or additional parts, and can be used in 23 configurations in the USA to accommodate toddler and infant seats at different heights in parent-facing or forward-facing settings. The second seat can be used to secure baby at a comfortable angle in infant mode or for older children, in stroller mode with three reclining positions as well as a footrest that is adjustable in five positions.
A large, spacious storage basket and back- and front-facing seat pockets enhance this stroller's utility, while the padded, contoured seat offers the most comfortable ride for passengers. A canopy that can be extended keeps children shielded from the sun's rays, and an open window allows parents to monitor their little ones.
By adding the accessory Stroller Rider Board creates a tandem that allows siblings to ride together, or be utilized as an alternative to the standard toddler seat. The flex-hold cupholder is able to hold a variety of beverages and the stroller can be easily foldable with the toddler seat connected, making it simple to access storage space.
The majority of reviewers are impressed by the ease with which the Pivot Xpand stroller can be expanded to include the second seat. Some have pointed out that it can be a bit difficult to attach an infant car seat to the integrated mounts, whereas attaching the second toddler seat is simpler and quicker. Evenflo offers a video chat feature for customers to ask questions or receive assistance with installing car seats. The only other major drawback for this stroller is its short warranty.
The Jeep Bravo For 2
The Bravo For 2 is an excellent stroller that is ideal for siblings of similar ages. It is simple to put together straight out of the package and, unlike other sit-and-stand alternatives, it is light at less than 23 pounds. twin buggy from birth recline in different places so that your baby or toddler can nap. There is also a footrest available for older children who need it. The padded handlebar is positioned in a way that older children can grip it while standing, even if they are wearing mittens. Many parents have reported that this feature alone makes it safer than the majority of its competitors.
This stroller also comes with an upholstered seat that will accommodate a child that is less than two years old. older. This allows you to keep your infant rear-facing for longer. This is a great benefit for parents adhering to the #TurnAfter2 campaign which encourages children and babies to be rear-facing until they reach the age of two years of age. This seat is easy to buckle and has the same five-point harness as the front seat.
The Bravo For 2 has another advantage: it can accept the Chicco KeyFit car seat or Fit2 in the front. Simply push down the front seat, snap in your infant carrier and listen for the sound which indicates that it's safe. This feature alone makes it one of the most versatile double strollers on the market and will help you avoid wasting money on a stroller that is only used once that could end up in your garage, or even donated to a local second-hand store.
This stroller has only one problem it doesn't include a cup holder or tray for parents. The storage space is also small. It's a great choice for families with one child who is walking all the way and another in a car seat up front. It's also a great choice for travel, as it can easily be folded into a compact size that can be gate-checked onto the plane or put in your trunk.
