Double Stroller With Car Seat Compatability
Parents with twins or other multiples will want a double stroller that can accommodate two car seats for infants at once. The TwinRoo+ is a tough frame stroller that fits 23 different car seat models (car seats and adapters sold separately).
It also features a huge storage basket, cup holders for parents and reversible seating with the best legroom between the two seats.
The Baby Trend(r) Universal Double Snap-N-Go(r)
The Baby Trend(r), Universal Double Snap-N-Go (r) is an excellent stroller that is compatible with most infant car seats. It has a large basket for storage and an adult tray with two cup holders. The stroller is light and folds easily for storage or take on trips. It's among our most maneuverable strollers and is a great side-by-side design. It doesn't do well in our jog test, and isn't as adept on steeper curbs. The front wheels with swivels aren't able to grip obstacles.
This stroller is compatible with all major brands of infant car seats, and adapters are simple to install. The stroller is only able to accommodate one infant car seat at a time and parents with twins will need to find another option to use their infant carseats simultaneously. The UPPAbaby Vista v2 double and the Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double have excellent scores for their capacity to accommodate two infant car seats at the same time.
While the Baby Trend is easy to use and comes with a nice basket, it is not quite as good in our ride comfort measurement. The stroller isn't equipped with shocks that absorb road bumps and vibrations, which can be difficult for children to ride. Additionally, the absence of a reclined seat, children will feel every bump in the road. This may not be an issue when the passengers age, but it's an important thing to consider if your children are toddlers or infants.
It is a lightweight frame stroller, weighing less than 40 lbs. However, it is heavy when loaded with passengers and cargo. It's difficult to jog without a jog-lock and it was a bit difficult navigating grass, gravel and sidewalks during our tests. The BOB Revolution Flex is a better choice for jogging and is lighter at 41 lbs. It is still a bit challenging to lift and carry but it comes with a handle specifically designed to help you do this. The jog-strollers feature larger wheels that provide more performance off-road. They are built better and are made of durable materials that can withstand long-term usage.
The Contours(r) Options Elite V2 Double Stroller
The Contours(r) Options Elite V2 has all the features that parents love: reversible seats, one-hand reclining, adjustable leg rests, zippered extensions to both canopies and a parent cupholder. It also has some great new features, like the height-adjustable handles as well as a quilted seat. It also comes with seven different seating options that include the difficult-to-find double rear facing position, allowing kids to see each one another while keeping an eye on dad and mom.
The stroller's compatibility with a variety of infant car seats is one of its most appealing features. It offers families more options and prevents them from being tied to a single brand of stroller that works with the baby car seats. The Options Elite is compatible with Graco and Britax infant car seats using an adapter that is universal that can also be used with the UPPAbaby Mesa and Baby Jogger City Select double car seats. It also has an additional adapter for when you have twins, or need to use two infant car seat.
It's not a stroller that is side-by-side and is a single stroller and is able to be used in all aisles and doors without difficulty. While it's not as maneuverable as a jogging stroller, it's still a great option for road trips and shopping excursions. It weighs a bit more than other double strollers, however it's not too heavy for petite women to lift and move.
The seats are comfortable for kids, and the storage basket is a good size. The canopy is also big and can be removed to give more sun protection. It doesn't have enough storage space for the parent's necessities, which may be a problem for certain families.
The stroller comes with the foot brake as well as a safety harness. a five point harness for each child. The front wheels can be locked for added stability and the handles are ergonomically designed. It's easy to fold and stands up when folded. It's not folded with just one hand, like other strollers in this list, but it's still not difficult after a little practice.
The Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double
Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double stroller is a stylish, budget-friendly and contemporary stroller that can grow with your family. It comes with car seat compatibility, reversible seats, and a sleek frame. It is simple to operate and features an easy fold that allows for self-standing. It's a good value for the price, especially considering its low cost. However, it has an a bit more substantial feel than a lot of the competition and smaller wheels that struggle with pushing off-road or in tight corners and narrow doors.
This stroller can be used with two infant car seats or toddler seats (sold separately) No adapters are required. By adding a second seat, you can expand the frame of the stroller in just a few minutes without tools or other parts, and can be used in 23 configurations in the USA to accommodate toddler and infant seating at different heights, either in parent-facing or forward-facing settings. The second seat can be used in stroller mode to accommodate older children or to support the infant at an angle that is comfortable for infant mode.
The huge, large basket as well as the front-facing and back-accessible seat pocket enhance the functionality of this stroller. Moreover, a padded, contoured, seat ensures maximum comfort for passengers. A retractable canopy protects children from the sun and the window that lets parents peek in to keep an eye on their children.
The Stroller Rider Board accessory can be used to create a tandem, so that siblings can ride together or as an alternative for the standard toddler seat. A flex-hold cup holder can hold various sizes of beverages, and the stroller can fold with an attached toddler seat for easy access to storage space.
The majority of reviewers like the ease with which Pivot Xpand double stroller expands to accommodate the second seat. Some have mentioned that it can be difficult to attach an infant car seat onto the integrated mounts, whereas attaching the second toddler seat is easier and faster. Evenflo offers a video chat feature for customers to ask any questions or seek assistance in mounting car seats. The only other major drawback is the relatively short warranty.
The Jeep Bravo For 2
The Bravo For 2 is an excellent stroller that is ideal for siblings of similar age. It is easy to assemble straight out from the box and, unlike many sit-and-stand options it is light at less than 23 pounds. The seats can recline in multiple positions to allow your infant or toddler to rest and even have an extra footrest for older children who require it. The padded handlebar can be positioned in a manner that allows older children can hold it while standing, even if they're wearing gloves. This feature has been mentioned by many parents as the reason it is safer than most of its rivals.
The stroller also features an upholstered seat in the back that will accommodate a child up to about two years old. This allows you to keep your child rear-facing for longer and is a huge win for parents who follow the #TurnAfter2 movement, which encourages toddlers and infants to remain rear-facing until at least two years old. This seat is easy to buckle, and it comes with the same five-point harness as the front seat.
The Bravo For 2 has another benefit: it is able to accept Chicco KeyFit car seats or Fit2 in the front. Simply push down on the front seat, then snap in your infant carrier and listen for the click that indicates it is safe. This makes it one of the most versatile double strollers you can find. It also allows you to avoid wasting money by purchasing a stroller which is only used once and will end up in your garage, or donated to a second-hand store.
The only drawback to this stroller is that it doesn't include a tray for parents or cup holders, and the storage space is a bit restricted. It is a great option for families who have one child walking the entire stroll and a child in a car seat on the front. Learn Alot more 's also a great choice for travel as it folds easily into a compact size that can be gate-checked on an airplane or put away in your trunk.
