Dear Emmanuel Family,

Please read these announcements about upcoming events and opportunities:

Men's Breakfast and Prayer - Fridays at 8:00am (meet and eat at Big Boy then afterward go to the church for a time of prayer). If you're not a pray-out-loud guy, you don't have to; just silently pray along with us for the needs of our church, families, state, nation, and world. (It would be great to have more men attend.)

This Sunday, pick up an announcement and prayer list from the table by the piano door to the sanctuary (or from Ms Donna if she's there).

This Sunday, we will partake in the Lord's Supper during worship. This ordinance of the church does not save you, keep you saved, or make you saveable. It is a memorial that born-again Christian believers (redundant) partake of to commemorate the death and sacrifice that the Lord Jesus Christ made on the cross for the sins of all who have trusted in Him/placed their faith in Him/surrendered to Him as their Lord and Savior. It is a time of reflection and thanksgiving for this great gift and outpouring of love. We also celebrate His victory over sin and death through His resurrection and look forward to His return when He will take His children home to be with Him forever.

“As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10

There is a fellowship lunch provided after worship this Sunday in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited and welcome to stay around for a time of fellowship around the table.

Cleveland Manor Worship Outreach is this Sunday at 1:30. Please park across from the A entrance and proceed to the third-floor lounge.

Picnic and Prayer will be Tuesday, June 4 from Noon – 1:00pm. Bring your lunch and join us for a time of fellowship and prayer. The church will provide tableware, coffee, and water.

Men’s Bible Study – Tuesday, June 4 at 7:00pm. Topic: Gospel of John. All men are invited and encouraged to attend!

Breaking Prayer Requests:

Pray for Steve Saxton who is still healing from leukemia and who now has pneumonia.

Pray for June Foster who is feeling better after coming down with COVID a few days ago.

Pray for Donna Clink who is recovering AT HOME from a series of mini-strokes. She hopes and plans to be at church this Sunday!!!

I think that's all for now. Please continue to pray for God's wisdom and timing regarding the marriage of our two churches. Both churches' leadership teams will meet again on June 5. We will strive to bring an update to the congregation after this next meeting.

Oh yeah... we will continue to livestream our service on YouTube on our channel listed below. This is only for those who are providentially hindered from attending in person. However, if others tune in and are blessed then AMEN! But our hope is that they will find their way to our church or a Bible/Gospel preaching church near them. Let us all embrace God's plan and intention as revealed in the practice of New Testament church - His family meeting together in person/not forsaking their assembling together. You cannot have true CHURCH without being present, having community, and doing faith together.
