14 Smart Ways To Spend Your Left-Over The Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair Budget
Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair

The best robot vacuum for pet hair should have strong suction and brushes that won't tangle long pet hair. It should come with a clever application that can create zones that are not allowed to be used.

The iRobot J7+ received the top marks in my tests for cleaning up cat and dog hair on hardwood floors. It also comes with an exclusive obstacle avoidance feature that is able to be able to detect cords and socks and then veer around them.

1. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is a relative newcomer in the world of robot vacuums has received positive reviews for its sleek design that can slide under furniture that is low. The G30 is a bit larger than the 11S model, but still remarkably thin. It has a stronger suction and mopping capabilities in a package that is less than three inches high. It also has an area for charging that keeps the charging base out of sight when not in use.

The G30 utilizes the same app that is utilized by many of Eufy’s other robotic devices. It's a simple app compared to those of some more expensive competitors, however it does come with a few useful features. You can share control of the G30 by tapping the Settings menu. The robot can also play a loud music to help you locate it, which is useful when it is stuck under the couch or runs off the edge of the room.

One of the most important things to take into consideration when choosing the best robot vacuum is its ability to remove pet hair. The G30 was a master in this area, effortlessly getting rid of long and short hairs of cats and dogs from our test floors. It even sucked clumps dried cat food that the older Roomba 675 had trouble with.

The G30 offers two options for more specific cleaning tasks, Spot and Edge. The G30 can clean an area for up to two minutes if you draw a box on the floor. The first one does the same, but pauses in between to avoid overcrowding its dustbin.

Like many robotic vacuums the G30 creates a map when it cleans it and keeps it in its memory. It doesn't include any other navigational features such as room labeling or virtual no-go zones. You can set boundary strips using the app, however these felt more like suggestions than boundaries. That said, the G30 is a smart and powerful robot vacuum that comes at a budget price.

2. Neato D9

The Neato D9 is a robot vacuum cleaner with a larger brush, better dust bin, and smart LIDAR mapping that is able to efficiently clean corners. It also comes with integrated sensors and an automatic docking station that performs charging functions to ensure that the robot ready for use at all times.

The D9 is an upgrade to the D8 that offers double the runtime and better mapping. It also has an advanced multi-surface brush as well as an ultra-performance filter that is able to catch smaller particles, such as hair strands, than conventional filters.

In our tests in the lab, the D9 did exceptionally well on both hard floors and carpets. It also had one of the longest battery lives that allows it to cover a large home before needing a recharge. The D9 does not come with a remote control, but you can control it manually via the power button on the unit, through your smartphone via the MyNeato application (available for Android and iOS), or with voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant.

The D9's onboard LIDAR helps the robot map your home's layout and then approach cleaning in a planned manner that is free of obstacles, which can aid in cleaning more thoroughly. However, its size could prevent it from getting under certain furniture and tables, so it's not the best choice for homes with precious antiques or collectibles. It also climbs up lamp bases and chair legs which can cause damage or cause the robot to fall.

Like the other models in the D series, the D9 comes with a wide brush that can pick up dirt and debris on the edges of rooms. It also has a Turbo mode to remove heavy dirt and pet fur on carpets. In our tests the D9 was very effective on hard flooring and did an excellent job at picking up pet hair on carpets and floors that were not bare. The D9 is equipped with a HEPA filter that filters out fine particles that can cause asthma or allergies. The D9 is easy to use and set up. With the MyNeato App, you can create zones to target problematic areas, such as crumbs underneath tables, or no-go zones to restrict the space that the robot can cover, such as narrow halls.

3. iLife V3s Pro

The iLife V3s Pro robot vacuum is one of the most effective for pet hair on hard flooring. It also comes with a mopping mode and can traverse stairwells and other obstacles. Its slim design makes it possible to be tucked away under furniture and reach pet hair and dirt that are hidden in difficult to reach places. The automatic self-charging function helps save time when the battery is running low. best robot vacuum for pet hair Robot Vacuum Mops will then return to its dock. It can be controlled by an app or the remote control.

iLife V3s Pro has many of the same features as more expensive models, but is priced less than half. It is able to tackle stone, low-pile carpeting and various hardwood and tile surfaces. It can be programmed to clean daily on a regular basis and will continue to clean even when you are away from home. Smart sensors prevent it from falling and scratching antique furniture legs. The pearl white finish is elegant and is a great match with many styles of decor. It is low enough to fit under beds and sofas.

Although its tiny motor can't deliver the same power as expensive models, it works quickly and efficiently to eliminate pet hair and other debris from hard floors. The V3s Pro can also be set to clean the bathroom, kitchen or other rooms on a regular basis.

While it doesn't come with a rotating brush, the V3s Pro has a 3-inch suction opening that funnels debris into the dustbin. Two, three-spoke brushes sit on either side of the opening to loosen up particles and crumbs before they are whisked away.

The iLife V3s Pro's cleaning performance is comparable to that of the Roomba 980 from iRobot and the Eufy RoboVac 11. The results of the lab tests were mediocre when compared to other robotic vacuums with similar specifications. It completed a test in 1 hour 31 minutes and 1 second it was slightly slower than the iRobot Roomba or the Shark Ion R85. It did a great job of removing pet hair and other debris from the floor, but it struggled with thick, high-pile carpeting and carpets.

4. Deebot X2 Omni

Ecovacs' X2 Omni robot mop and vacuum is not the latest model, however it is still a great option for cleaning pet hair. The X2 Omni is designed to clean both carpets and floors, by using rotating washing pads that are soaked in hot water at 131 degrees to help the mop get rid of dirt and pet hair. This is a unique feature that makes the Deebot stand apart from other robots.

This robot is also very adept at avoiding obstacles. When tested, it easily avoided furniture legs, pet toys, and even poop that was placed in its path. In addition the X2 Omni's ability to avoid obstacles is monitored by its security camera, giving you the complete hands-free experience.

The owners love the ease of use and performance, despite it being more expensive than the iRobot Combo j7+. The only downside to the X2 is that it requires an internet connection in order to work, which can be a challenge for some households.

The X2 Omni can be set up in a matter of minutes. It comes with mopping pads and a side brush that are already installed and can be used as a plug-and play device. It is also one of the quietest robotic vacuums we have evaluated.

The OMNI station is a important feature of the X2 Omni. The docking system is unique because it automatically stores dust, allergens, and other debris for up to 60 days. It also cleans and replenishes the mop's water supply so that it can be ready for the next cleaning job. This helps to ensure the mop is always clean and fresh surfaces to work on, and also prevents the growth of bacteria.

Additionally, the X2 Omni also features a redesigned YIKO 2.0 voice control, which lets you give commands to the robot, such as, "move forward and clean there" or advanced schedules. It also comes with a 960p camera that can be activated through the app at any time to monitor the home.
