Fall Detector UK A qualitative study of fallers was undertaken to find out how and why older fallers used (or did not) own a personal alarm device and what their perspectives were on its use. Thirty-one fallers aged 65 years and over who had suffered a fall in the previous six months were interviewed. They were asked about their experiences of the fall, whether they had used an alarm to gain assistance, and their perspectives on its use.
