Robot Vacuum Mop Pet Hair: It's Not As Difficult As You Think
The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the best solution for pets that shed fur. This machine can mop, vacuum and clean its own dual mop pad.

It also has the most suction power of any robot we have tested, at 8,800Pa. It also can save your home's maps and set cleaning schedules from its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model that is dry and wet is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system uses dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind is used in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard areas than traditional mop. In my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models, which seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms and also make "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin, and wash the mop with hot water, before starting another cleaning task.

The X2 Omni is as easy to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. Place the dock in its place then plug it in and connect it to your home WiFi network. It takes only some minutes. You can then launch the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able to modify my floor plan within 15 minutes. This included creating restricted areas for sweeping and mopping as well as rearranging the positioning of furniture on the wall and more. The X2 Omni performed admirably during my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal. It also had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The ECOVACS T10 Omni is an extremely powerful vacuum and mopping machine. It is the most advanced of the brand's T-line, and features the latest OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It comes with YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is the first of its kind. It can respond to various voice commands. You can make use of the ECOVACS app to map your home, create cleaning schedules, and adjust settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between mopping and vacuuming in one go. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads to and from the vacuum according to your needs. This is great for most households, but not so for those with busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is an excellent robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the debris we tossed at it our hardwood flooring which is an impressive performance. It also did an excellent job on carpet and tile, removing over 90% of dirt and debris.

This robot vacuum and mops comes with an extensive docking system that lets you clean the mop pads automatically using cool mop pads. It also features an auto-emptying 3L bag that's easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

Like other mopping machines such as the Deebot T10, this one comes with a wash tray at its base that cleans and dries the mop pads as it uses them. It does not have a removable tray, so dirt, dust and other grime can slowly build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first mopping model made by Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It features improved intelligence, multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the floor you're cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner however it doesn't exactly live up to its promise to be an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and a raised area for sensors. However, flip it over, and you'll find an electric floor brush as well as a single side sweeper that carries dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's'mouth'. It's a little smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system lets you create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. However it is prone to get into things (including its charging dock) and isn't the best in negotiating rugs. It was good at picking up pet hair from bare floors. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of kitty litter.

Although it can be controlled via the app it's also controllable via the app. X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base that let you select a cleaning mode and turn the robot off and on. These buttons can be used to establish zones that are not allowed to be visited and to access real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty, and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or warn you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This advanced model collects pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It also comes with an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes and a self-emptying dock and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The device that is Wi-Fi-connected can be controlled best through the Neato App where cleaning schedules are set and maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with a mix of hard floors and carpet, but it requires some advanced planning to avoid getting stuck on toys, power cords or other unexpected obstacles.

This robot did well in our tests of hardwood floors and food particles. It was able to pick up everything from a single rice grain to multiple dog food pieces, with just one pass. It had some difficulty transitioning to carpets, but in general this vacuum cleaner is great for large spaces with different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It is a bit pricey however, if you are able to handle the cost it's an excellent buy for those who want to leave their home free to do other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to get rid of the most difficult spills or dirt. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to define the boundaries of the robot.

This budget-friendly option from a well-known brand is the cheapest model we've ever tested and provides an outstanding value for price. Its basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not able to map rooms. This is why it's less effective as other models on this list. It's still able to get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode performed very well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. best robot vacuum for hair www.robotvacuummops.com 's iQ isn't as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as bare floors. It also uses intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It can be positioned to a specific location, and includes a variety of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to suspend and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots from pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying bagless dock station can store up to 30 days of dirt prior to needing to be emptied. It comes with of angled side brushes that can reach into corners, as well as a multi-stage filter system that captures dust, dander and allergens.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-built. It comes with an app for smartphones that lets you change the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions in advance. The app allows you to see the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive push notifications if it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't have either of these devices you can mark out areas by using physical boundary markers.

The iQ can do a decent job of removing bare floors and does a decent job with shaggy and low-pile carpet however, it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It's also costly and its ongoing costs can add up over time.
