There is a bicycle trail next to it, which is very comfortable to walk. The picture book library itself is small, but very warm and cute. There are picture books on the shelves that you can read, and graffiti books and toys on the table that you can play with.
Green Island - this island located off the east coast of Taitung offers coral beaches, tropical forests, and fresh saltwater hot springs. I’m so happy this museum is open in Tainan 台東民產 and I can ride the bus here in 30 minutes from home. The outdoor area is much bigger than the indoor space and it is very comfortable to walk in the morning when it’s not sunny.

Dream Cafe, a quaint coffee shop located within the Taitung County Building, offers reasonably priced and satisfying regular coffee. While there is no English menu available, the staff members are cordial and despite their limited proficiency in English, they are accommodating and willing to assist customers. As a marriott 10+ years member, I always trying to stay at Marriott so I choose this hotel and I always recommended friend to stay at Marriott brand hotel. This is first time I would say DO NOT come to this hotel. There is plenty of other hotel better and nicer hotel than this one in Taitung.

Will definitely return next time to try those waffles. Found this lovely place when I was walking around in the city. It's a compact little shop with only one table inside and one outside, hence the name solo studio, but has a really cool and relaxing vibe. The taste is so good that one can eat it alone.

The best way to get around Taitung is to rent a scooter or a car, even within the city, to get to the tourist spots, it will be easier if you have your own mean of transportation. If you like nature, want to discover the aboriginal culture, and want to escape Taiwan’s huge cities. From Taipei you can take a train to reach Taitung, the fastest one will take you there in 3.5 hours, ticket prices range from $20 to $30 USD. Make sure you check the schedule, as some trains can take up to 8 hours.
This branch of Starbucks is conveniently located in the same building as World Gym and is attached to a multilevel parking garage. The size of this branch is also one of the bigger ones, so there is lots of space to sit and enjoy your coffee. It was a hot afternoon, and I was thinking about grabbing a cup of coffee.
It takes roughly 15 minutes to travel by bus or taxi between Taitung train station and the downtown area, which is kind of an annoyance. There is not much interesting around the new station, apart from the BeiBBBBBB Museum. Green Island 綠島 is a small island that’s 33km to the east of Taiwan, in the Pacific Ocean.
