Obesity
A lot of people ask themselves , what is normal ? What does it mean ? Does it even have a definition? In my perspective normal means to be yourself and if others disagree about your definition or opinion of normal , they are wrong because there is no right or wrong answer to it. The topic that caught my attention was obesity , obesity has been a big health problem for years now. My thesis statement is that people with obesity can live a "normal" life with it , they are normal like any other person. Why? The first reason why is because researchers now say that people with obese problems live as long as slimmer or healthier people. Secondly , because obese people can have kids like any other normal people that don't have that problem or condition. My last reason is because scientist now think that being overweight can protect your health.
Some of the causes for this health problem is because its genetic, environmental, behavioural, and social factors. If a person has genetically low metabolism , isn't active , and doesn't eat healthy his or her obesity problem is high. Also , people's emotions can lead to obesity . His or her's emotions can be guilt , stress , depression or other emotions related to that can lead to overeating. The symptoms are breathing disorders , certain types of cancers , heart disease , depression , diabetes , gallbladder or liver disease. Next is the gastroesophageal reflux disease , high blood pressure , high cholesterol , joint disease , and a stroke.
