Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key comes with two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and another that starts the vehicle. It also has a switch that can activate the parking break. Bentley estimates that it takes about 500 man-hours to build and assemble the Mulsanne. The inability to adopt new technology is the key to this time-consuming task. The Crewe factory workers don't use a machine to space perfectly matched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. Instead of using the car's built-in sensors guide it into perpendicular and parallel parking spots the drivers must do it manually.

The event also saw Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization options with one of a kind - the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars come with an item key that shows an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
