Contrary to other robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid to take on the stairs. Like all mops and vacuums it is prone to getting blocked by objects like tennis shoes, play thread, jewelry or other loose objects.

However, you won't be able to see inside the compartment because it's made of opaque plastic. The i4 is also lacking features, like the AI-powered obstacle-avoidance and keep-out zones that are found on the j7 and the j7+.

It does however have an effective cleaning system and a set of rubber brushes that aren't tangled up with pet hair. It's also a good choice for carpets with a high pile because it is able to handle the more dirt and debris better than weaker vacuums. The i4 is also less invasive in terms of maintenance requirements, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and has a longer runtime in its weakest suction mode than the i7.
