The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet Case Study You'll Never Forget
The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

There's a robot for every carpet type, whether it's low-pile or high-pile. These machines are intelligent and can automatically navigate through your home, pick up dirt and clean under furniture.

They come with advanced features like mapping, which help them navigate through your home and keep track of where furniture is. They can also increase suction power to clean up areas.

iRobot Roomba 694"

The Roomba from iRobot is an entry level robot vacuum that works well on both plain flooring and floor carpets with a low pile. It has good suction, but struggles with larger debris such as grains of rice or sand. It also does a good job of cleaning pet hair, but it's not immune to tangling like top Roomba models like the I6 or j7.

The Roomba 694 is easy to use. It has three buttons on the top cover. 'Clean,' which launches a cleaning session and 'Dock', which puts it in its charging station, and "Spot," which initiates the targeted cleaning. It can be controlled via an app on your smartphone that lets you to schedule cycles, stop and start them and adjust settings. You can also connect the device to smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it via voice.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than some others, but can still get into the most crevices and corners. It has a huge dust bin that is ideal to reduce the frequency at which you must empty it. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which allows you to make the robot avoid certain areas, or even stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from becoming stuck.

It's not the top in its price, but it's still superior to other models. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning performance than the Roomba 694, and it's able to clean carpets with low pile as well as bare. It also has a longer-lasting battery and a better path. It is also more comfortable to use and has fewer components that require regular maintenance, costs less to own over its lifetime and charges more quickly than the 694.

It's also worth looking at other, more premium models within the iRobot line, such as the 981 or the v7. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but offer significant improvements in cleaning performance, both on bare and low pile floors. They also have a bigger dirt compartment, charge faster, move more easily and are easier to pair up with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This budget self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner does an excellent job on carpets with a low pile and hard flooring. Its combinator brush gets to corners and edges, and then automatically increases suction when it senses carpet. robot vacuum cleaner with mop is effective in cleaning dirt embedded in the middle of the pile carpet. The IQ's small footprint for docks and its self-emptying feature are nice touches. If you wish to alter the floor level or set areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.

The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation capabilities however, it's not able to access no-go zones which are included on iRobot models. Its intelligent-pathing navigational system gives you greater maneuverability and its high-pile carpet cleaning mode cleans well, though it is prone to get caught up in rug tassels, and its iHome speaker allows you to control the robot with voice commands.

In our tests, we discovered that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to get rid of the majority of hair on floors that were not bare, and a fair amount on medium-pile rug. It was less effective on shag carpets, as it was unable to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to navigate chair legs, small spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was slower on bare flooring however, it was able to recover speed and did better than other robots we have tested.

The IQ is a more suitable choice for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on a charge, and does a better job of moving itself around obstacles. It has mopping tools that can remove sticky mess. On the other side, the iRobot is more durable and has fewer components that require maintenance or replacement and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and can even create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can continue cleaning the point it started, even if the battery is out before it has finished. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is a big plus for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S by eufy isn't exactly the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market but it does provide great cleaning power for the price of. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. This robot can last for up to an hour. It comes with the remote control, cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek with an upper deck of tempered glass that is covered with plastic, which is finished to look like brushed aluminum. It's a nice different from Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more industrial and utilitarian.

In our tests, the eufy11S was very effective in removing larger debris and fine dust on hard flooring. However, it struggled to give medium and high pile carpets a thorough clean. The device is prone to hit furniture and people in its path. However, it is able to detect obstacles with sensors. It ceases and emits a loud sound when it comes across an obstacle. It is then possible to manually steer the device around it to return it to working.

Another excellent aspect of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode that allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match floor type and the amount of the mess. It's also simple to use the remote to direct the 11S where you'd like it to go.

If you don't have a lot of furniture in the area you're looking to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy will spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the area it is assigned.

Edge Cleaning is another option that limits the time spent on each area to a maximum of 20 minutes. This will maximize battery life. If you select this option, the eufy will move in a spiral, tackling corners and edges to ensure a clean.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 canister robot is a fantastic mid-range vacuum cleaner that excels on carpet. Its performance is also excellent on floors with no floor. It can remove rice and other small particles with ease. The suction power doesn't diminish as the dirt bin fills. Its air-sealed, allergy-friendly design snuff out allergens to keep your family safe. It has an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin, so you don't need additional filters or vacuum bags.

It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's still excellent for dealing with stains and deep cleaning. Two front cameras provide live feeds of images on your smartphone, and it has one of the best obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It has a huge bin, a long running time and a quick, bump-free cleanup.

Unlike most other robots, unlike other robots, the Complete C1 can switch between a standard powerhead and a turbo head to suit different flooring types. The turbo head is best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting, while the standard powerhead is good for floors with no flooring and light carpets. It also comes with an automatic height adjustment system, that allows it to adjust to different kinds of flooring, without manual adjustments.

This model is included with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on both hard floors and carpets of medium pile. The powerhead is also easy to move and can be used to reach difficult areas. It has five different adjustments to the surface and a brushroll-off switch to prevent tangled hairs.

The Classic C1 also has a self-cleaning brush roll, an UtraClean mode that goes around the same area three times for the best possible clean and a self-emptying bin that can be emptied with the touch of the button. The sound level of this model is higher than other models. However its powerful motor with 1,200 watts of power and robust construction are worth the extra cost.

If you're willing to pay a bit more, the Miele Complete C3 is an excellent all-round robot vacuum that is more effective on carpet than the Classic C1. It performs better on all types of floors and is built more securely and comes with a HEPA filter.
