Why You Should Focus On Improving Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet
The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

Whether you've got carpet that is high or low-pile, there's a robot vacuum for you. These smart devices are able to navigate your home on their own, pick up debris and clean under furniture.

They are equipped with advanced features, like mapping, which help you navigate around your home and keep track of where furniture is. They also can increase suction power to take on dirtier surfaces.

iRobot Roomba 694

The Roomba 694 from iRobot is a basic robot vacuum that performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It is able to suction well, but struggles with larger particles such as sand or grains of rice. It is effective in cleaning pet hair but isn't as resistant to knots as premium Roomba models such as the I6 and j7.

The Roomba is easy to use. It has three buttons on its cover: 'Clean' starts a cleaning cycle, 'Dock' puts it back into its charging station and 'Spot Clean' initiates an targeted clean. You can control it via an app on your smartphone that lets you to schedule cycles, stop/start them, and alter settings. You can also pair the device with smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant to control it via voice commands.

This vacuum is a little slower than others, but it is still able to reach most corners and crevices. It has a large dustbin, which is great for reducing the frequency the frequency you have to empty it. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which allows you to set the robot to avoid certain areas, or even stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from becoming stuck.

It's not the most effective in its price, but it's better than most other options. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning capability than the Roomba 694, and it's able to clean carpets with low pile as well as bare. It also has a more efficient cleaning path and has a longer battery life. It is also more robust, has fewer components that require regular maintenance, and costs less over its lifetime and charges faster than 694.

It's also worth considering other, more premium models from the iRobot range, such as the 981 or the v7. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but they have significant improvement in cleaning efficiency, both on low and bare pile floors. They also have a larger dirt compartment they charge faster, can move more easily and are more a breeze to pair with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does a good job on hard floors and carpets with low pile. Its combo brush reaches into corners and edges and it automatically increases suction when it detects carpet. It also does an excellent job of cleaning embedded dirt from mid-pile carpet. The IQ's compact footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are great features. If self emptying robot vacuum want to change the floor levels or set areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.

The IQ app offers some advanced mapping and automated functions, however it does not have no-go zones. They are only available on iRobot robots. The smart-pathing system of the app allows for superior maneuverability and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient, although it can get caught on rug tassels.

During our tests in our tests, the IQ was able to handle pet hair with ease, removing huge amounts of hair from floors that were not bare and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was a little less effective on shag carpet, which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It was able navigate the legs of chairs, small spaces as well as the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was slower on bare flooring, but it recovered speed and was more efficient than the other robots we have test.

The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on charge and is capable of maneuvering itself around obstacles. It also comes with a mopping attachment that can handle sticky debris. On the other hand the iRobot is more durable and has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and can even create virtual no-go zones with its companion app. It is able to even resume the cleaning process from where it left off in case it runs out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled with voice commands, which is an advantage for many users.

Eufy 11S

The eufy RoboVac 11S robot vacuum isn't among the most features-rich models, but it provides great cleaning power at affordable prices. This vacuum was designed for consumers with a tight budget who don't require a complicated mapping system, or even an application to control it. This robot can run for up to an hour and comes with the remote, a cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base, and additional filters.

The 11S is slim and sleek, with an upper deck of tempered glass that covers plastic finished to look like brushed aluminum. It's a refreshing departure from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

The eufy11S did well in our tests to remove larger particles and fine dust from flooring. It struggled to deep clean medium and high-pile carpets. The device is capable of bumping into furniture and people along its path. However, it is able to detect obstacles using sensors. When it comes across them, it stops and lets out an alarm so that you can manually steer it around the obstacle and then get it back to work.

The BoostIQ mode is another great feature of the Eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust suction force based on the type of floor and the level of mess. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to the desired place.

If you don't have a lot of furniture in the area you're looking to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy is capable of spending up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.

You can also choose Edge Cleaning that reduces the amount of time in each location to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. This option allows the eufy to move in a spiraling manner by cleaning edges and corners.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robot vacuum that is a top performer on carpet. Its performance on bare floors is also impressive. It can remove small particles like rice effortlessly, and it doesn't lose suction performance even as its dirt bin gets full. Its allergy-friendly design and air-sealed body will trap allergens to keep your family healthy. It uses an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying bin, so you don't need additional filters or a separate bag for your vacuum.

It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's excellent for dealing with staining and deep cleaning. The two cameras on the front of the unit provide a live image feed on your smartphone, and it features one of the top obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It has a large bin, a long runtime and an easy, bump-free clean-up.

The Complete C1 is unlike most robots in that it can switch between two heads, a standard and a turbo for different kinds of flooring. The turbo head works best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting while the standard powerhead is ideal for floors with no flooring and light rug. It also has an automatic height adjustment system that enables it to adjust to different types of flooring without manual adjustments.

This model comes with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on hard floors and carpets of medium pile. The powerhead can also be easily maneuvered and get into difficult areas. It has five levels of surface adjustment as well as a brushroll off switch to avoid hairs getting caught in tangles.

The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll, the UtraClean Mode that can clean the same area three times, and a self-emptying bin that you can empty with a single button press. The noise level is a little higher than other models however its powerful 1,200-watt motor as well as sturdy build make it worth the extra cost.

If you're willing to spend a little more then the Miele Complete C3 is an excellent all-around canister robot vacuum that is more effective on carpet than the Classic C1. It is better suited for all types of floors and is built more securely and comes with an HEPA filter.
