Disillusionment is a feeling or emotion of displeasure and disappointment due to a certain event/thing not going as they pleased and assumed it would be.
People lost trust and faith, dissociating themself from politics, social traditions, religion, and economy, creating a mass sense of disillusionment amongst the common people, which utterly led to the Great Depression in the following years.
Irresponsible governments pushed Europe into yet another war, WW2. People lost faith and disregarded the opinions of their politicians and high government officials. There was also a sense of instability, with the government system constantly being changed and molded, as well as the contributing factor of corruption.
Europe became economically unstable, and had to deal with its many problems. Due to the increasing economic instability, unemployment and inflation became widespread, causing the people to suffer and struggle to get through their daily needs and supply their families. This further surged the sense of disillusionment throughout Europe.
Social traditions are practices and behaviors practiced by a certain society. People began to rebel and disregard these former standards for the common European citizen. One of these practices that were overlooked was marriage.
WW1 introduced new terror and panic among the people, which led to the questioning of, “how had God let this happen?” People began questioning the church and its abilities, finding holes to poke at in the structure of the main two religions, Roman Catholicism and Christianity. This led to a significant decrease in church attendance, losing faith in what was meant to hold them up.
Due to Europe's economic, political, and social instability, there was a sense of fear and insecurity amongst the people. People were looking for someone to guide them and offer answers for the unknown. Not only were the people looking for someone to stabilize them, so were the governments leading the people.
Disillusionment, the feeling or emotion of displeasure and disappointment due to a certain event/thing not going as they pleased and assumed it would be, was one of the main factors in post-WW1 Europe that led to the Great Depression and yet another World War. People lost trust in politics, social traditions, religion, and the economy, leading to a mass sense of disillusionment. Irresponsible governments and instability contributed to this feeling, and economic instability resulted in widespread unemployment and inflation. People also rebelled against social traditions, and there was a decrease in church attendance as people questioned the role of religion. The sense of stability and security meant to be offered to the people by the government was dissolved, and people began frantically looking for support, unsure of what the future would look like, at this rapid rate of decline in morale, economy, politics, religion, and tradition.

This term refers to the generation of people being of age during the WW1. Majority of these kids were from teenage years to early adulthood. They were the most disillusioned and challenged the previous standards set for them, including politics, spending, and social tradition. They had lost their identity after the traumatic incidents of war, and struggled to find themselves, unstable and confused, leading to the name, “the Lost Generation.”
They created new and modern forms of art, introducing new styles of art in their works and disregarding the former art styles common during Europe. They often painted and sculpted creations that “mocked life” and had sometimes controversial messages, some ordinary and some more “violent.” Pablo Picasso also rose during this time period.
Previous works were often idealistic and romanticized the way of life with happy endings and light fluffy works. The Lost Generation began embracing more realistic works about depression, disillusionment, loss of identity and tradition, as well as fear of the future and what’s upcoming for them. Some famous writers from this generation are Ernest Hemingway and Vera Brittain.
They went against the norms and traditional styles of music composition and rhythm, bringing in new forms of music. This style of music reflected the emotions of the composers, often depressing or “bad” compared to the previous works. They often had dissonant sounds, irregular rhythms, and many times improvised parts of their work. A famous composer was Igor Stravinsky.
(then i needa write a summary paragraph ;-;)

The Great Depression was an international economic disaster during 1929-1939, which started in the US before spreading into Europe and affecting markets worldwide.
The intertwined economies of the main world powers, the US and the other European nations, reparation and the debt of WW1, an agricultural crisis, and economic equality amongst the different social classes.
The nations of the world had begun to rely on each other via trade, causing their markets and economy to be very dependent, interconnected and intertwined through means of trade and investment. Europe widely depended on the US economy.
During WW1, the US shot up to the world's top economy. European countries began borrowing money from the US, putting themselves in debt due to the inability and difficulty to repay the loans. Germany was able to make some reparation payments (see Treaty of Versailles) in the early 20s, yet it needed to get a loan from the US, only putting itself in further debt.
Due to the ongoing war in Europe, the world relied on America for its crops and agriculture to feed the people, leading the agricultural industry to wealth. In the 1920s, and Europe began building itself up again, and the price of American crops dropped, leading to mass poverty.
There was a large gap in the wealth distribution, with more of half the country’s wealth in the hands of 1% of the population. The rest of the population paid in credit for day to day life, a new form of payment that arose during the 1920s
