Earth is appromaxly 4.6 Billion years old.The lithosphere is made up of several large moveable plates called tectonic plates. As the hot liquid rock meets the cool ocean water the rock cools and hardens. The earth is made up of several techtonic plates. The breaking down of rocks by weather and water is called weathering. The broken down materials is then carried off in the process of erosion. The cause of erosion is called by Flowing water. The Ice Age is a long period of cooling during which huge ice masses, called glaciers, grow and extend from earths polar regions. During a ice age sea levles are lower. Glaciers contain bubbles of air that were trapped when the glacier formed thousand of years ago. The most recent ice age ended between 10,000 and 12,000 years ago.
El nino:Every year near the end of december, a current of warm, nutrient poor waters flows southward along the coast of South America. El nino may cause fish to die due to increased ocean tempature. Overall cooling of earths climate causes the growth of glaciers.
Change in the atmosphere Valacons can affect global climate. when a valanco erups gases and particles are sent into earths atmosphere. For appromaxly 3.5 billion years,oxygen,carbon dioxide, water vapor and nitrogen have been cycling from the atmosphere, through the bodies of organisms and back into the atmosphere.
The green house effect causes burning organic matter which releases carbon into the atmosphere causes the green house effect.
