EUDORA: "Just at that moment, the ugly little frog looked up with his sad, round eyes and pleaded, "Oh, please, dear princess, only a kiss from you can break this terrible spell that was inflicted on me by a wicked witch!""
CHARLOTTE:(WHISPERING) Here comes my favorite part.
(MEWING)
EUDORA: "And the beautiful princess was so moved by his desperate plea that she stooped down, picked up the slippery creature, leaned forward, raised him to her lips, and kissed that little frog!
CHARLOTTE: (EXCLAIMS ADORINGLY)
TIANA: (GAGGING)
EUDORA: "Then, the frog was transformed into a handsome prince. They were married and lived happily ever after. The end."
LOTTIE: (CHEERS) (LAUGHING) Read it again! Read it again!
EUDORA: Sorry, Charlotte. It's time for us to be heading home. Say "good night," Tiana.
TIANA: (ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN) There is no way in this whole wide world I would ever, ever, ever... I mean, never kiss a frog. Yuck!
CHARLOTTE: (MISCHIEVOUSLY) Is that so?
[CHARLOTTE FORCES A SHREWDLY MADE HOOD THAT RESEMBLES THE HEAD OF A FROG OVER HER CAT'S HEAD. SHE THEN PROCEEDS TO PUSH THE CAT AT TIANA'S FACE, THE PAIR GIGGLING AS SHE DOES SO.]
CHARLOTTE: Well, here's your Prince Charming, Tia. Come on. Kiss him.
TIANA: No.
LOTTIE: Kiss him!
TIANA: Stop it!
LOTTIE: Kiss him, kiss him, kiss him!
TIANA: I won't, I won't, I won't!
CHARLOTTE: [STILL HOLDING THE CAT] I would do it. I would kiss a frog. I would kiss a hundred frogs if I could marry a prince and be a princess.
[CHARLOTTE SMOTHERS HER CAT WITH FURIOUS KISSING. THE CAT, TRAUMATIZED, JUMPS OUT OF HER ARMS WITH A SCREECH. IT ATTACHES ITSELF TO THE PINK FABRIC-CLAD CEILING WITH SPIKED FUR, POOFY TAIL, AND WIDE EYES.]
(BOTH LAUGHING)
EUDORA: You girls, stop tormenting that poor little kitty.
[EUDORA STANDS ON A STOOL AND GRABS THE CAT FROM THE CEILING]
EUDORA (CONT'D): Poor little thing. Mmm.
MR. LABOUFF: Evening, Eudora.
CHARLOTTE: Daddy! Daddy! (SPINS AROUND) Look at my new dress. Isn't it pretty?
MR. LABOUFF: Look at you. Why, I'd expect nothing less from the finest seamstress in New Orleans.
[CHARLOTTE PLODS OVER TO THE BOOK THAT EUDORA WAS READING AND POINTS AT THE OPEN PAGE]
CHARLOTTE: Ooh! I want that dress!
MR. LABOUFF: Now, sugarplum...
[HE PICKS UP HIS DAUGHTER WHO IS SQUIRMING IN HIS ARMS RESTLESSLY. SHE YANKS ON HIS MUSTACHE EMPHATICALLY]
CHARLOTTE: I want that one! Please, please, please, please!
MR. LABOUFF: (THROUGH THE YANKING) Eudora, you suppose you could whip something up like that?
EUDORA: Anything for my best customer.
[EUDORA STEPS ASIDE TO REVEAL A PLETHORA OF PINK DRESS VARIATIONS LIKE THE ONE IN THE BOOK. EACH IS DETAILED AND INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL]
(CHARLOTTE CHEERS)
EUDORA: (GRABBING TIANA'S HAND) Come along, Tiana. Your daddy should be home from work by now.
[TIANA AND EUDORA LEAVE. THE AUDIENCE SEES THE SILHOUETTES OF MR. LABOUFF AND CHARLOTTE AGAINST THE HALLWAY WALLPAPER.]
MR. LABOUFF: All right now, princess, you're getting that dress, but that's it. No more Mr. Pushover. Now, who wants a puppy?
CHARLOTTE: I do! I do! She's so cute!
