I ran back to my room, and Mr. Seven Year Old managed to finish the donut and a chocolate pop by the time our breakfast was delivered. The in-room breakfast came with a round table dressed in white cloth, enabling us to sit comfortably at the edge of our bed to enjoy the food. Later in the room, my firstborn and I were the two that stayed up late, and we took a midnight stroll outside. The restaurant was not operating 24 hours, but there was a hotel staff who answered my too many questions in a friendly manner.

Last year end might have been my longest holiday around Bandung in a long time. It brought me a lot of happiness and some emotional roller-coaster. It should only be a one-night stay and it doesn’t have to be on New Year’s Eve, so we finally agreed to check in on the eve of New Year’s eve. Today is the time for a post from the May 2007 issue. It was my first big article ever -in conjunction with the travel-themed edition- about some travel essentials a fashionable traveler can’t leave without.

It is rather challenging as holiday is just around corner, which means so many food are coming our way, and year-end parties are filling our agenda. What I did was eating small portions, finish eating before 8pm, and balance the sinful goodies with lots of fruits and vegetables. We arrived when the day just turned dark at Sandalwood.

A very late check in and no late check out for the next day. lihat di sini was on the third floor which is actually fourth level, but we were notified about this before. The climb was not bad with low steps of stairs. We were not crazy about the room decoration but at least it was well laid-out and brand new. It’s a country style room with some rustic touch. The bed and the sofa were great and there was a balcony too.
Being a breakfast babe, when I know that there’s a slow morning coming my way, I might plan a trip to a desired breakfast place early in the morning. But when I happen to stay in a hotel and have no particular agenda in the morning, I would definitely plan a breakfast in bed. When staying with hubby and our two boys, I have learned that it is best to split team.

He informed me about a camp fire spot that comes with a rental package (including snacks for a group of people). I checked that camp fire spot a little later, and enjoyed hanging around the pool under the full moon with Mr. Firstborn. Pretty exhausted because of the crazy traffic to Lembang, the boys and I headed to the restaurant to unwind and have dinner. The restaurant is called Savannah in Woodlands, and their coffee machine made me quickly order a piccolo latte. A hotel staff lit the fireplace as we looked through the dinner menu. My piccolo latte arrived, and the balanced blend of Tangkuban, Java, and Gayo beans delighted my palate.
I’m given a chance to take a break, and despite the fact that some people are worried about me, I feel that I’m finally rewarded with something I wished for. Mr. Seven Year Old is a lot into pancakes, so that’s what I ordered for him that morning. I opted for Chinese Breakfast set for myself, that included sliced fresh fruits.

Entering the room, a basket filled with praying mat, mukena for women to pray, prayer books, and prayer beads was seen on the bed. Parquet flooring exudes warmth, and I thought how great it would be to lay down on the bed and linger. But lingering is for the next morning, because we had siomay, batagor, and yamin manis waiting for us somewhere out there that night. Those foods helped us sleep well that night, so we were in very good condition to enjoy the room in the morning.

I found it hard to get started, but the senior editors in dewi kindly helped me out at that time. The result is quite entertaining as you can read below. Just like I had started eating healthier in the midst of December, not even on a Monday.

The plan was to attend our 20 years high school reunion (that’s alright, you can figure out how old I am now) in Jalan Citarum, Bandung.
I did it with the room’s tea set and our personal belongings. N has a lovely collection of cosmetics and accessories that I can use, and the ensemble I picked ended up looking feminine. AGENDA

It is a calendar where the writer lists interesting events, prominent figures’ birthdays, or even ideas for the whole month. Staying in a King Deluxe Suite means we must at least spend a morning for in-room breakfast.
