Adding a Facebook pixel to your Wix website is a simple process that takes just a few minutes. The Facebook pixel allows you to track conversions, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads, and much more. Having it installed gives you valuable insights into how visitors are interacting with your site.
To get started, you first need to create a Facebook pixel. To do this, go to the Events Manager section in your Facebook Ads Manager account. Click the "+" button and select "Create a Pixel." Name your pixel, such as "Wix Site Purchase Pixel," describe it, and click "Create."
How To Connect Facebook Pixel To Wix Website will generate a pixel ID for you. Copy this ID number as you will need it soon. The ID is a long string of numbers.
The next step is accessing the backend of your Wix site's dashboard. Log into your Wix account and go to the main site dashboard. Click on "Settings" in the left sidebar.
In Settings, choose "Seo & Marketing" then scroll down and select "Facebook Pixel." Paste your Facebook pixel ID into the box titled "Add your Facebook Pixel ID here." Make sure you get the entire ID, including any dashes in the string of numbers.
The final step is verifying your website domain with Facebook. This associates your new pixel with your site. Go back to the Facebook Ads Manager, choose the Events Manager again, and click the pixel you just created.
You will see your Site URL listed as "Not verified." Click the button to verify your domain. This will open a browser window showing your website. Facebook is now checking that your pixel ID is properly installed on your domain. When it finds your new pixel on the site, the domain will show "Verified".
And you're done! Your Wix website now has the Facebook tracking pixel installed. As visitors browse your website pages, the Facebook pixel will send data back to your Ads Manager account. You will start seeing site analytics reflected within a couple of days.
Now you can fully utilize the Facebook pixel to improve conversions, remarket with ads, create similar audiences, and analyze the customer journey across your Wix site. With just your website domain and a few lines of pixel code, a new world of Facebook marketing potential is opened. Check your Facebook Insights to see the pixel gathering visitor information to benefit future advertising efforts.
