The former head coach of Sepahan and Zob Ahan, pointing to the prominent role of brokers in Iranian football, emphasized: Now the brokers are the all-rounders of our football and they bring a player to a team in any way they want, and everyone benefits from the arrival of these foreign players. Meanwhile, with this broken economy and football without income, paying such money is definitely a waste of money and does not help our football.

Regarding the fact that the restrictions and changes in the regulations for the recruitment of foreign players have not been able to correct this procedure, he said: A few years ago, for the recruitment of foreign players, notes were made that the player must be a member of the national team, which is not being followed now. However, if the football federation can take a step in the presence of quality foreign players in Iran, it has made a big difference to Iran’s football and economy.

Karbkendi added: “If this thinking is implemented, it would be very good, but we are learning how to bypass it very well.” A contract is signed and sent to the federation, but all notes are left on the table, which increases the contract amount! If the way to prevent such contracts is controlled, it can help our football, although I have no hope that it will be implemented.

Referring to the distribution of foreign player’s contract money among different people, the football expert of our country stated: First, we must see how many percent of the contract the foreign player who comes to Iran gets, especially since many people around this player are profiting. I believe that this player receives the same amount of money as his football and the people around him who are sitting at the wide table of football will benefit from the rest of the contract.

Pointing out that there is no will to deal with brokers in football, he noted: I was the head coach of Saba 7-8 years ago and I said in an interview that Iranian football is dirty. No one asked me where this football is dirty and because of that I was even fined 3 million. I saw the then head of the disciplinary committee looking for a DVD, I asked why you were looking for it, he said I want you to see the talks you made again. I said that there is no need and I am repeating those words again. I told the head of the disciplinary committee that if you say now that this football is clean, I will give an interview and apologize to all Iranian people for my words. Kerbkandi stated that no one is looking for the root of this problem and solving it, and everyone is looking to erase the face of the problem, and stated: There is no will to deal with corruption in football, because a big mafia is behind these people and everyone is using them. The coach, player, supervisor and manager get their hands on the table and when the others who can’t enter this way, they take their share from football through brokerage and earn more money than the coach and the player. They operate for a month and use that money for 11 months!

At the end, the veteran of our country’s football stated: I wish that Iran’s football will become healthy and high-quality one day, and that people will enjoy football and not get on their nerves.
