Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this issue. They give players an increase in inventory space to complete challenges. However, since the majority of these challenges are scattered around the globe and are easily overlooked, it may take an extended time to obtain the largest amount of inventory slots available in-game.

Each player can have up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear Slots. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to breaking in. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) occupies one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades of the same type) only has one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations allow you to store items that don't fit in your concealed weapon or gear slot, and retrieve them later.

These pickups can be very useful if your mission requires you to pass through a frisk or you have a weapon on you that might otherwise raise suspicion. You can only hide one item in a pickup location.

This DLC also adds new asset protection and security contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Once you have reached the mission marker you can identify a crowd when you arrive.
