Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot allows you to bring pistols into a mission. Some players use this to aid in achieving certain goals particularly those who are going for Suit Only. Some prefer having the extra pistol as a gap closer. The smuggle slot can house a large variety of objects, ranging from simple concussion devices, to weapons-grade explosives. These items can be found in hidden places around the map. They can also be retrieved at any time. The items that are smuggled differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes that hide small objects hidden in the scenery and objects.

Mission planning is an option in missions that are episodic. It lets players unlock different starting locations, smuggled objects and gear slots prior to stepping into the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning expand. This allows players the ability to create the perfect mission for each challenge.

Gear Slot

The slots for gear will quickly get full early in the game, which will result in the common message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message prevents Max from acquiring new equipment until the old items are removed or more space is obtained. As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations let you keep items that don't fit in your weapon or gear slot. You can retrieve them later.

These pickups are especially useful when you have to go through a frisk in the course of the mission or if you're carrying a weapon that could otherwise trigger suspicion. However, you can only keep one item at a time at an agency pickup location.

This DLC also adds new asset protection and security contracts to the agency. To start these missions, simply talk to the agency receptionist and purchase armor and snacks. Once you've reached the mission marker, identify a mob at the time you arrive.
