The perfume is not defined by the traditional olfactory pyramid of top, heart, and base notes; instead it’s designed to create a “balance between a powerful heart and a subtle veil.” Apparently Guichard used his mother as inspiration, who happens to be a sculptor, for this particular scent.

Available at Bergdorf Goodman and on Kenzo’s website, this limited edition fragrance is priced at $188 for 40 ml of Eau de Parfum. The bottle is designed by Ron Arad, and the perfume itself was made to be a kind of object of desire—the scent was developed to evoke the sense of touch on bare skin, while the zamac-glass container can be held in the hand like a sculpture and can be shaped to one’s preference.
