10 Misconceptions Your Boss Has Regarding Twilight Princess
Twilight Princess Game Review

The darkest and most serious of the Nintendo 3D Zelda games, Twilight Princess pushes the limits of graphics to the final limits on the Wii's hardware. It's darker and more threatening than The Wind Waker. There are no bug-eyed pigs or effeminate Pirates.

Link is drawn into a parallel dimension called Twilight Realm, where he takes the form of an Hylian and a wolf, while being guided by Midna.

Gameplay

The thirteenth installment in The Legend of Zelda is Twilight Princess. It was released on the Nintendo GameCube and Wii systems in the year 2006. Critics praised the game with perfect scores in several publications, including 1UP CVG EGM and GamesRadar. Many consider it to be the best game in the franchise and the most popular Zelda game on the PAL market.

Twilight princess features naturalistic and stylized graphics style that is similar to that of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, with a much more advanced graphic engine. It is the first game in the series with a fully directional movement control system, instead of a fixed view like the previous games. This change was made in order to make room for the Wii console, which comes with an interface based on pointing. The GameCube version of the game features a section in the back that has mirror-image maps to those who prefer the fixed view.

After entering the Twilight Realm, Link is transformed into a wolf and meets Midna, a mysterious creature. She informs Link that the kingdom of Hyrule is being taken by a group of shadow beasts led by the evil sorcerer Zant. She also explains that she is the true ruler of Twili but was taken over and cursed to her present form by Zant.

When Link and Midna arrive at Hyrule Castle, a short cut scene shows the soldiers there being killed by the shadow creatures. Link and Midna then escape the castle via an entrance tunnel to enter the Twilight Realm.

Link can move more freely in the Twilight Realm by using his Wolf form. Link can also make use of his senses to navigate the world. He can hear the ghosts of soldiers and animals in the distance. Link can also pull grass from specific patches and whistle with it to summon an animal, for instance a Hawk or Epona. Alternately, Link can howl near these patches to summon the same animal.

Like earlier Zelda games music plays a major part in Twilight Princess. Link can play instruments like the harp or flute to draw attention to and summon animals. He can also use his voice to command the wolf's appearance. Additionally, he could use his compass to guide him around the world and avoid getting lost.

Characters

The Legend of Zelda is full of unique and colorful characters that will leave an impression that will last forever. From hands emerging from toilets to pirate sailors traveling across vast oceans these wacky and unique characters are the core of the game. Twilight Princess continues the tradition of previous games by introducing a variety of memorable characters.

Throughout the story, Link meets new NPCs that are not only intriguing, but also plausible. It's a huge leap forward that a lot of these NPCs don't exist solely as victims and play a role in the story. slot demo starlight princess 1000 like Rusl who declares that the forest is dangerous now and kidnaps kids or the Ordon villager who disguises himself as a wolf to hide his identity when the kids are kidnapped all have unique personalities.

Other notable characters include Iza, who operates the Boat Rental Cabin and Iza's Rapid Ride in the Lanayru Province, Louise, Telma's cat, who assists Wolf Link locate a secret passageway through her bar as well as sewer system to the castle, and Faron who's spirit is the one who guides Link and Midna to the Forest Temple in the Eldin Province. The two team members defeat the Fused Shadow possessed by Diababa and receives the first Tear of Light.

Midna, the princess of the Twilight Realm, is also one of the most intriguing characters in the game. She can change between wolf and human forms and possesses a piece of the Triforce of Wisdom. She tells Link about her experience in the twilight, and about how she defeated Zant the King of Twilight.

Zant, who possesses the other half of the Triforce of Wisdom, is a wicked sorcerer, ruler of the Twilight Realm. The goddesses relegated him to the Twilight Realm for enslaving their people and taking over their territory. Midna dispels Zant's power, permitting him to transform into his human form if required.

The game also includes an upgraded horse named Epona, which is ridden in Hylian and wolf versions. Link can whistle near specific grass patches in order to call the animal. (similar to Majora’s Mask). The player can identify the horse which makes Twilight Princess the first time in the series that a player can personalize their own horse.

Theme

Music is an integral part of any Zelda title. It can make a game seem massive as well as expansive and thrilling. However, Twilight Princess is criticized for its erratic and unreliable soundtrack that doesn't capture the emotional impact of certain moments. Contrastingly, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have enthralling compositions that explode at precisely the right time to create a feeling of grandness and eerie.

Toru Minegishi and Asuka Ohta were responsible for the music and sound design in Twilight Princess, with Koji Kondo overseeing the series's composers for the first time since Wind Waker. The soundtrack for Twilight Princess is a radical deviation from the standard approach to the series, with an approach that is minimalist to melody and arrangement. The majority of dungeon and field music starts with a single instrumental creating a mystical and eerie atmosphere for the player. Midna's lament, for instance is a song that uses a keyboard to induce a sense of sadness for the player.

The most prominent examples are dungeon themes with a dull atmosphere. This is particularly evident in Twilight Realm, which has an eerie soundscape that could be found on a David Lynch movie. The lack of melody and the conventional arrangement of this track accentuates its ominous, spooky nature. Drones and bizarre patterns intertwine to create a bleak texture.

A more uplifting and joyous song is Link's hometown, "Faron Woods." The song makes use of a variety of soft sounds and stringed instruments that create an idyllic feeling of safety and peace for the player. The song also has subtle references to the franchise's most well-known scene, since it has an riff that is like the iconic tune that is played at the beginning of Ocarina of Time.

Twilight Princess also has dynamic songs that change based on the player's location, the activity they're doing and what's happening. Hyrule Castle Town has different versions of the theme for each region of the town. Central Square, for example, has a more boisterous version. These variations add a wonderful addition to the world of Hyrule, adding a sense depth and immersion.

Story

The story of Twilight Princess revolves around Link trying to prevent Hyrule from being engulfed by the corrupted parallel dimension known as the Twilight Realm. To achieve this, Link takes on the forms of the Hylian and as well as a Wolf and is assisted by a woman named Midna.

Midna was the original ruler of Twili but she was supplanted and cursed by Zant into her imp form. Link and Midna are instructed by the Sages of the past that only by defeating Ganondorf will be in a position to release them from their curse. The Sages then reveal that the Mirror of Twilight is the source of the darkness in the Twilight Realm. Midna and Link travel to the Spirit's Spring, where they encounter monsters that are hostile and kidnap children. With Wolf Link's acute sense of smell, they track the scent of children to a bridge before they cross into the Twilight Realm.

They enter the Forest Temple and battle Diababa to obtain the first Fused Shadow. Faron informs them of the next destination, the Eldin Province in the west (Wii), or the east (GCN).

At the Lakebed Temple in Lanayru, Midna is able to teleport Link to an erupting rock and uses her power to melt the ice at the bottom of Lake Hylia. Rutela's spirit, who was the recently dead Zora queen, appears to Link and informs him that he needs to visit the Lakebed Temple if he wants to gain access to the treasures of the Zora.

Returning from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, the horse Epona can again be ridden in Twilight Princess. Link can choose the name of the horse, a change from the predetermined names used in previous games.

When they arrive in the Twilight Realm, Midna and Link recover the remaining Mirror Shards. The Sages inform Midna that she is the true ruler of the Twili. She was a pawn over for the monarchy, and was relegated to the god of power. The Sages also inform them that the only way to defeat Ganondorf is to bring him back to the light and break the alliance between the Twilight and Hyrule kingdoms.
