Kenzo 188 Perfume Review
The Kenzo brand was founded in 1970 by designer Kenzo Takada, who attended Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo and moved to Paris in 1964. His designs mixed traditional Japanese lines with influences of nature and multi-culturalism. He is credited with bringing Japanese style to the world, and his collections have been worn by celebrities and ordinary people alike.

This new perfume (the name means Unidentified Fragrance Object in French) is the latest in the series of innovative creations from this fashion house. The fragrance is a unisex scent, and the bottle was designed by Ron Arad. The bottle is made of zamac, and it can be held in the palm of your hand. It's available online and at Bergdorf Goodman.

Kenzo 188 is said to be reminiscent of "powdered marble on a womans skin". Perfumer Aurelien Guichard was given the task of creating this sensual perfume, which is part of the line called "Kenzo Parfum Objet Non Identifié" (or KNOID for short). This scent is a mix of four natural raw ingredients that add facets of the "marble accord", including orange blossom and Bulgarian rose to bring femininity, tenderness and elegance, frankincense to intensify the pure note of the base notes, and vanilla to evoke intimacy and sensuality.

The fragrance was a collaboration between the design house and perfumers Sophie Labbe, JoAnne Bassett, Daphne Bugey, Maurice Roucel, Daniela (Roche) Andrier, Sophia Grojsman, Jean Claude Delville, Antoine Lie, Louise Turner and Marie Salamagne. It's one of several recent offerings from the brand, which now has 159 perfumes in its fragrance base.
