Hey Leena, sorry I couldn't speak properly earlier today, I was too busy with my family and helping at the kitchen. Now that I can actually focus I'm just gonna summarize and set everything to stone. You're probably asleep so I'll just leave a long text for you to read tomorrow (sorry).

I made a mistake when I told you Kempinski's price; it's not 150KD per night per room, it's 150KD per TWO nights per room, meaning it's already cheaper than the Movenpick room you've showed me. BUT I looked it up, and the cheapest twin room available in Ibn Battuta is actually 136KD per two nights per room (including taxes and hidden payments), and with the 25% discount that's 102KD per two nights per room. With 5 rooms we'd need everyone to pay 51KD each to break the 40% point, but with 3 it's lowered down to 44KD. Yeah it's not all that much better than Kempinski but remember this is all before the sponsorship. I just calculated that in order to bring it back down to 25KD contribution per person with 5 rooms we'd need to raise 200KD from our sponsorship.

I found another hotel called Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers that's 15 minutes away and costs 90KD per two nights per room, meaning 45KD contribution per person for 5 rooms and 42KD for 3 rooms. Also including taxes and hidden fees.

Actually I just procrastinated while typing this and spotted another fancy shmancy 5 star hotel called Atana, 12 minutes away and only 50ish KD (!) per two nights apparently. Maybe it's on sale. I'm too lazy to do the maths at this point but you can tell it seems like a good option that may render this whole freaking essay moot. What I'm saying is even after all the doom and gloom there are still pretty good options out there, but at the same time I feel like I'm that dog in that comic whose house is burning down and he keeps telling himself everything's fine >_>.

We'll wait for Ayat's and Abdolmohsen's reply tomorrow (I feel like a dolt for not having emailed him sooner) and I'll speak again with Abdolhameed tomorrow, and then hopefully we'll finally reach a firm decision by Sunday when I speak with Student Life about the technicalities of this sponsorship. And that's that. Ironic to its name Student Life is probably going to be the death of me some day.

Anyway to make up for having made you read through all this rubbish I just wanna thank you again for putting all this dedication and effort into the club even though you're already neck-deep in your own work and troubles, and I'm genuinely glad I'm not doing this on my own. Also by forcing me off my ass to speak with Hanan you've essentially saved all our asses, so you really deserve a pat on the back for that. Keep it up Leena :)
