Tonsilitits- bacteria or infection of the tonsils
- two oval shaped organs located in the pharynx at the back of the throat

LOBULAR PENUMONIA- involves a single lobe of the lung that is caused by bacterial infection
BRONCHIAL PNEUMONIA- affects both lungs around the bronchi
Lung cancer- disease from uncontrolled cell growth and division occurs in lungs
- creates growing mass of cells that forms a tumor/carcinoma
- carcinoma reduces the respiratory surface
- lung tissues are located deep in the thoracic cavity which is difficult to detect in the early stages and leads to symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing
