According to the study of (BMC. 2022) Healthcare organizations and clinicians' active engagement in research improves performance. Barriers include high workloads, lack of skills, and supportive relationships. Collaboration with universities builds health service research capacity, but few reports evaluate these collaborations from the health service perspective.

This study is linked to better healthcare performance. This includes increased organizational efficiency, lower patient mortality rates, higher levels of employee and patient satisfaction, and lower staff turnover . Our findings show that collaborations between health services and universities for student research placements can benefit health services in ways that are consistent with some of these outcomes. Such collaborations can provide satisfaction for AH professionals working in health services by providing opportunities for professional development, workplace enjoyment and fulfillment, and the ability to meet role expectations in ways that are tailored to individual preferences. They can also help with healthcare performance improvements. Evidence suggests that clinicians engaging in research leads to increased research utilization [8]. At the local level, increased and current knowledge of the specific research topic, as mentioned by several study participants, enables clinicians to provide optimal care to their patients. This may also result in a greater willingness to apply other new research findings in practice. Several of the projects examined here had a broader impact, contributing to the evidence-based literature and being cited in international clinical area guidelines. AH professionals in academic roles are more likely to publish than those working in clinical settings, which may have contributed to dissemination success.
