In conclusion, this laboratory experiment offered interesting comprehension about the discreet role of the skin system. Through exploring the skin's thermoreceptors, glands, the structure of the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis and also accessory structures such as the hairs and nails, the students were able to gain a deeper understanding of the system's functions which are so diverse. This experiment underscored the remarkable sensitivity of thermoreceptors to even minor temperature fluctuations, highlighting their pivotal role in maintaining thermal homeostasis.


The findings are critical for exploration of the mechnism of thermoreceptors, skin accessory structures, and other integumentary system elements in the face of the stimulus going on in outside and inside of human body. Using more advanced methods including morphological and tomographic observations provides additional opportunities to reveal hidden mechanisms of adaptive modifications and functions that occur within the integumentary system.

In this home-based experimental setting I acquired unique understanding of the isolated function of the skin system. Finally, the students having explored the skin's thermoreceptors, glands, the structure of the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis also the accessory structures which make the system so diverse in their functionality. What the experiment has shown is how powerful are the nerve endings to the fluctuations in even the slightest temperatures. This is such an important aspect in maintaining the thermal homeostasis.
